When you receive "Hi, how's it going?" without out a pic or reference to your profile, status or advert, do you
a. show compassion and respond politely
b. simply delete or
c. instantly block
and does it make a difference if the one liner is from a male, female or couple? |

"If I like the profile I’ll respond if I don’t I won’t reply"
that's seems fair. it just makes be despair when it happens despite saying on my profile to make an effort... though maybe it's lost amongst other words.. i try to keep the profile positive instead of negative |

"Mostly b, or you tend to get drawn into a chat that's like pulling teeth, plus I think it means they are then excluded from filters if you apply them at a later date. "
i didn't know about the exclusion part... now makes sense |

Yep, if you look at the bottom of Message Filters it says...
Filters don't apply and people can message if you've mailed someone before (if you message someone you have filtered, they can reply), you have winked at someone, or you are friends.
It's a reason lots of people give, plus the FAQs say no reply should be taken as no thanks so you shouldn't feel obliged. |

Mostly B and C, unless I am bored out of my brain like today, in which case it might be A.
Then I endure the following:
“Hi hun wat u up today”
“Much joy on here hun”
“Want to meet I have a 9 inch cock”
Where I then go to either B or C... so I just prolongued the agony lol |

I'm surprised that they don't at least compliment you on your pics, smile and body |

The last one I got a I replied
Doing great thanks. Mr is away to the footy and friends coming over soon. Did you have a nice weekend
Much prefer that type of message as it gets a conversation going and I get to know much more about them rather than I'm Andy 34 and love mmf. That tells me fuck all x |

I’ll be polite, most times.
But...If he is completely apart from my criteria listed on a profile and I’ve had loads of messages to sift through, I might just delete. |

It makes no difference to me who the message is from. I respond to all the same way. If they’ve taken no notice of our profile, I take no notice of them.
Unless
Occasionally
I’m in one of those hormonally challenged moments of weakness without a packet of hobnobs within easy reach and I succumb to sarcastic back and forth until they give up and go away.

and does it make a difference if the one liner is from a male, female or couple? " If you are talking about a woman saying that to you I would answer because women generally don't have a lot of time so the messages tend to be short and sweet until they get to know you I always answer messages like that from women and couples |

I usually respond with something witty.
My favourite was in response to a message that simply read "hey x"
I responded:
Hey, I just met you
And this crazy
Put more effort in
Coz that was lazy

We read the profile, decide whether there is any sort of a match, and then either reply if we like them,or if its clear that they haven't read ours its a straight delete and block. |
