Just had a message from Le Diamant Noir that they are closing there campsite on the 3rd of September after they had taken money off us for a later booking. Anyone have any further information. I'm not hopeful of getting my money back

Send them a registered letter in French (use Google translate) and request a refund. Advise them that if you do not receive a refund within 14 days you will contact the Mairie and lodge a complaint against them. As the Mairie gives them their license they won't want any complaints.
