Meet Goes Quiet....

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

We’ve been chatting for ages, finally agreed to meet tomorrow and... it’s all gone quiet.

Same old story? Well, the jury’s out... I guess we’ll know tomorrow... but this seems to be becoming a common occurrence.

Problem is, I’m becoming like the other men on here, anxious, frustrated and desperately in need of that sexual release. Crossing my fingers this will still happen as this plays havoc with my ability to concentrate and focus on other things. Does anyone else have this problem?

It's a nightmare when someone talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. Everyone hates being let down. Tbh that's why most of my meets are at clubs. Even if you are stood up there's normally something interesting happening

Doesn’t just happen to men though.

It’s just one of those things.

I’ve had that a few times! Luckily the meets I’ve had off here outweighs the negative ones

It’s not just guys that become anxious. I always have a moment of doubt when I turn up at a strange house and it’s not quite as I imagined, thinking I’ve been sent to a random strangers address for a laugh.

Not helped when the window cleaner is there as well..’I didn’t know this was a foursome!’

I think fab teaches us to expect the worst and to be suspicious.

Yes, I’d have to agree with that.

Problem is, I have a lot of work to do this evening and just can’t concentrate.

Perhaps another young lady would like to meet me tomorrow, instead? Just to enjoy my full attention and of course, help me out, haha.

Those flying pigs are coming past my window again....

It does happen unfortunately. It can be extremely frustrating, when they just stop chatting on the run up. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's for innocent reasons and not because they have changed their mind, OP.

Yes, you never know. I’ve had to pull out of a couple of meets before for legitimate reasons - but at least we kept chatting and simply postponed them. I didn’t just go quiet.

It pissed me off more than anything a polite message to say he had a change of heart would’ve been appreciated

Yes - I think most us would prefer a regular partner rather than one-offs and you certainly look and sound like you know what you’re doing

I’d come back for more... I used to live in Beeston; if only I was back that way now!

Well we all know there are plenty of men that are dickheads - but he didn’t have to prove that is what he is.

swingers clubs

We learned early on not to waste too much time chatting on here.

We don't even agree as such to meet people. We just tend to say 'maybe see you at a club sometime'.

Again, the above mainly because previously people have said they'd meet us there and then expect sex. Which we won't agree to as we've never met.

Its happened to me on more than one occasion, I don't understand why they can't just message and say they have had a change of mind, or any excuse really, just don't leave us sitting waiting.

The amount of guys who message first about a meet - try to arrange and go quiet lol

Sorry to hear.

Just because the pics are of the same girl doesn't mean they aren't fake pix of the same girl? Or a fella using pix of his gf? Try doing the reverse image thing to see if they've been used elsewhere.

Then put it down to experience and move on.

Same here - if someone messages and says they are going to the same club we just say be nice to say hi so there is no obligation to do anymore than just have a chat Unless we like them of course

Is bloody annoying, I genuinely don’t get what they get out of it, does it boost their ego or something?? Or is it a spotty youth pulling himself around his bedroom instead of doing his homework thinking “yes I got them at it”???

All very odd, and frustrating...

Take nothing as guaranteed, except death. Always helps to have other things in mind to enjoy, should a meet fall through.

I always agree a plan. So that it's clearer before the last minute that something is off-course.

You have to expect that no strings means that other aspects of life have higher priority, such as work, partners and family.

Communicate well in advance, including your concerns and cancellations.

Yes, I think that is the issue and the source of frustration - even a pathetic excuse is better than them just going quiet.
