I thought this was an urban myth!

So anyone confess to having one in their front garden.... So to speak.

Is anyone up for a bit of seperate garden plant swapping?

There's two possibilities isn't there? Either:

1) she genuinely didn't know about the connotations of having such plants on display. Which, to be fair, how many of us knew about before this story? As a newbie, I certainly didn't

2) she's a swinger and just playing innocent to save her public image...

Which makes me wonder: is there anyone in the public eye that swing? And if so, is it like an Eyes Wide Shut sort of deal where everyone's wearing masks?

The pampas plant story dates back to the swinging sixties, ,my parents were swingers and had one in there garden and it was always the story that if someone came to the door and asked for a cutting they would engage in conversation to find out if the other person was also a swinger.

And my last house had a huge one in the garden and when i saw it it just sold the house to me lol. But i do giggle as once i sold it the new people took it out, makes me wonder if anyone of my 'swing friends' went knocking as i always had an open house policy if anyone was passing lol

I've got one in my side garden, by the side of my drive and the fact that the plumes grow to around eight or nine feet high and there's 14 of them means its easy to see from the front too!

It's coincidence it was there to start with as it was already there in a smaller form when I bought the house, and I like the look of it so its stayed put! Plus I've ripped out all the overgrowth around it, so its flourished now it has its own space. It did make me wonder though when I heard this rumour about a year ago, and I have no plans to change my garden either, so if the world thinks I love to fuck willingly and with wild abandon I couldn't give two hoots. Besides they'd be right....

I'm proud of my pampas grass thank you! Unlike my penis which grew to its current size by me kind of doing nothing except thinking about naughty ladies, my pampas needed tender loving care and bags of effort. So I think I'm entitled....

This information is very distressing for me, I had no idea.

I used to sell the bloody stuff on a market stall as a Saturday job when I was 19, in particular to a really hot blonde with a much older husband, who was always inviting me to one of their parties and with a lump in my throat I always refused because of the lump in my trousers.

OH GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never knew that it's supposed to represent the home of a swinger. I'm such a noob.

Shame really cause I love Mariella... would have been great if she opened up - so to speak - to being in the lifestyle live on Radio 4.

Mariella, if you're reading this and you secretly do have a profile on here, then please get in touch. Kthnxbye xx

My ex had an amazingly thin and very bubbly uni friend who became the mistress of a very well-known middle aged TV presenter - this was in the mid 70s. She said she and her lover used to go to swinging parties, which we thought very shocking at the time! They involved other celebs and younger women, probably the sort of thing the Italian ex-Prime Minister Berlusconi gets up to.

Passed our local fire station today with a huge clump of pampas grass outside, Does this mean all the firemen can't wait to get their kit off?
