Face pics on profiles - double standards?

I totally agree with you,I would'nt demand that people only contact me with a face pic as we don't have ours on public display.......... but have some ready to send to people that we may want to meet or have become friends with on forums
It just makes me laugh that those with no pics can make those sorts of demands
I could say more about the sort of personality that I think does that but I shall remain polite

 contacting me who haven't had a pic who then turn out to be scammers (not on this site I hasten to add). So I can understand why people would request a original picture to hopefully filter out the cons. | |||

If a person or couple states on their profile they will not respond to people without pics then they are being more than a little bit cheeky in not having pics themselves. | |||

"Think its quite simple really, they probably get god knows how many messages a day and think its easier to select playmates if they attach a picture, or matbe its to restrict the messages they get, who knows, only them, but rather than reply to 30 odd messages and ask for one just to reply with sorry your not for us, we fully understand the method behind it, we'd even hedge a bet that if single guys got 30 plus messages a day they'd probably do the same, all comes down to time and mathematics really. After all how many people have had a great message from someone thats caught your interest, then after a few mail exchanges etc you've swapped pics, at which point you decide they're deffo not for you, add to that people now are so quick to throw timewaster tags around its getting beyond a joke, its gotten to the stage that if people change thier mind, or say no to someone after a few exchanges of messages that they're timwasters. To sum it all up, go to clubs and parties for fun, internet swinging isn't worth all the hassle, everyones wants everything on a plate with no effort, and even after a little effort like 2 messages they expect a meet or call you a timewaster, which gives an insight as to why lots don't reply to messages unless its from people who interest them. Yes adding a picture to messages does save time and stops you meeting somebody you don't fancy. We are talking about people who no pics on their profile either public or private yet they insist on you having pics. If they expect people to have pics on their profile to send them then they also should have pics to send back. | |||

" I think you're possible mistaken in believeing there's some sort of common sense or reasonable expectation about swinging when, clearly, there isn't. You only have to look at society as a whole to see that some folks expect standards in other which they fail to achieve themselves and there's no reason why swingers would be different. | |||

People may well get alot of emails everyday but thats not the point or the content of this thread. In this case i was contacted by certain people who were asking for something they were not willing to give themselves! It's not about a single guy sending an email to a single woman and the thread is not one about someone receiving loads of messages and not being able to read/reply to them, time constraints, changing your mind or timewasters. These people asked to meet and as they obviously didn't take any notice of what i wrote in my profile they must have gone by my picture. However, when i point out to them that it states on my profile i will only meet if i see a picture of them, or get to see them via msn i was told no one gets to see their face and if thats not satisfactory then it's all off, which it would have been anyway as i wont meet someone i haven't seen. Some people don't care what the other person looks like but i do and i need that attraction. So if people state they will only meet or correspond with someone who has a facial picture on their profile, or if their sent one then i think it's common courtesy to do the same...don't you? It's a little more complicated than this as everyone expects, or is looking for different things. Some send an email with alot of content while some send one liners or just a wink; some want to chat for awhile to get to know someone while some will meet without hardly a word; some will politely say no thanks while some will suddenly block you without even a word etc....so the whole timewaster issue is not as black and white as people think nor was it part of this thread. | |||

They are happy for anyone to see them and are not bothered about friends, family or work colleagues finding out, as in many cases they already know. But in my case i was contacted by two people who asked if i wanted to meet up and when i replied with interest and asked to see who i was potentially going to meet they refused and expected me to turn up without ever seeing what they looked like until i was there! If i had been the one to send the message and they weren't interested then it's fine not to show a pic but when you send an email asking to meet then surely you have to let the person see what your like, especially when they state on their own profile that they will not reply to anyone who doesn't send them a pic! | |||
