Ive been messaging a few people lately and all seems to be going well, but then they ask if i have msn or bbm and wen i say no (cos i do all my fabbing via my iphone) the messages stop and i never hear from them again! Whats all that about? |

It's easy to get msn on an iphone - numerous apps! I guess a lot of folk may want to have a quick chat off site - maybe on cam - just to verify people are genuine and not posting 10 yr old photos (or ones of better looking friends! lol). Suppose it's down to personal choice but i'm always happy using either. |

I have a BB and my son has an iphone and it works well.

I like that app use it alot with my daughter , she has blackberry I have iphone . Also with the Iphone now you get iphone to iphone free messages  |

i prefer to chat to people 'real time', i dont like chatting on phone but if im arranging a meet i like msn as its easier, can take ages on here, sometimes its a hour between messages then they log off and come back on 3 days later and expect to pick the conversation back up, sorry but by that time im sorting a meet with someone else and lost interest in you  |

Have had that too.
We don't have MSN because we found when we had it before, it was the same conversations everytime we logged on.
That or I'm feeling horny, do you want to switch your cam on.....hmmm no!

oh i just block them
i never cam on msn, i usually go in chat room and put it on in there so by the time they get to my msn they have already seen me, so i see not reason you put my cam on on msn
i make that quite clear so if they ask me to cam i just block them as i do not feel they are interested in arranging a meet just looking at my tits |

haha ive had some funny convos on msn from my old cam days with my ex,
still got a few couples we used to cam with, who obviousily spend all their free time just camming with guys and other couples.
had one not too long ago be like, hey you wanna cam and have some sexy fun, i was like maybe, but you do know im on my own not with anyone, and the lass was like oh right, cant you get anyone?
i was like not really at the moment or they would be here already!
so i got asked if i could pop next door and ask if any of my neighbours fancied playing with us.
lol i laighed my ass off at the thought of knocking on someones door and asking if they fancied popping over for some sexy webcam fun  i couldnt believe they were actually serious as well lol |

we use msn to chat and show pix in thumbnail we dont send pix we dont cam as it can be recorded and the pix can be sent to everyand any1 once u send them, just chat and look at pix in thumbnail if they dont have them or come off with the i can cam we just deleet from msn x  |

and every1 else has nothing to do!!!! we msn and we are far from time wasters, people that send and collect pix= time waster pic collecters we msn like i say so people can see our pix bun not dowm load them from thumbnail lots of pix to see none to download and we expect people to have a few too, best safest why to see what people look like we dont send, nor do we ask to be sent  |

seems like a poor/pointless way to verify someone using the thumbnail window.
if your worried about dodgy pictures going about all i would do is just start a cam session, and dont make it a rude one, just pop on, both ends cams, has a look to make sure like photo and then kills the cam seshon as you have seen what you need to see! |

how does chating on msn take any longer than ping pong mail sending on here?
everyone likes to do thing different, id sooner chat on msn before i arrange a meet as i just get a better feel for someonechatting real time than messaging someone and waiting to get a reply
dont make me a time waster just because i choose to do tings different to you
and if your to busy to speak to people how you going to find time to meet them |

Could be for their security.... with BBM or MSN, if you dont like their chat, you can block them. Phone numbers you (on some phones) cant block.

The problem with MSN is that it doesn't fit in with my internet usage. I log on here, my email account, and a journaling site, then potter about the house doing chores. I reply as and when I pick up the message. If I choose to meet someone then I'll use messaging, text, and email to arrange stuff. No meet is so urgent that I have to be tied to my PC, exchanging stilted conversation. That can be done at the meet face to face.
I am not suggesting that anyone who uses MSN is wasting their time, and anyone who takes umbrage over a remark not directed toward them because someone chooses to do something different is displaying over sensitivity. But I have managed to meet quite a few people without ever arranging those meets using MSN. Some people like it, some people don't. I don't. |

DITTO!
To me, and that's my entitled opinion!, there are far simpler and primary ways of contact made available which is messaging on here and phone. You message on here for two reasons:
1. To give you a chance to get to know someone at a pace suited to you....being on MSN is not suited to me cos I just don't have the time to chat for that length of time. Besides, why rush to get to know someone in what could possibly be the only MSN convo you have until it becomes stilted..
2. Messaging on here keeps you safe until you are comfortable giving out your email address which in most cases ends up being your MSN address. By giving your MSN you give this away too soon..
By the time you get to the phone stage, you have exhausted the email chat stage and you are comfortable you like that person so chatting on phone should not be that much of a risk. Besides the way I see it, if I don't get long with someone and they keep calling and texting, I just don't answer!! Mentally, that won't bother be one bit if I don't know the person. If that person has nothing better to do than text/ call all the time after rejection, then that's their issue. Won't even bother by answering..

Never said it took longer. My previous post explains my reasons. Just feel telling me to chat on MSN is redundant cos there is a means to chat on here until both parties are comfortable to let each other into their worlds..to me, my MSN/email address is pretty private as well as a phone number.
But like said before, it's a matter of preference and I stated mine |
