Something that has interested me for a while, is guys who play with tvs who say they are straight. Now this is not judgmental and each to their own etc, but as tvs are men, surely men who see them and women are bi |

"Does it matter what others do or call themselves... No it doesn't "
It would appear that identity matters in most societies. After all it is what both separates or bonds individuals, people groups and countries. Most of societies issues arise out of a lack of identity imo. |

I do agree that society loves a label but my question essentially was to try to understand the labelling in this instance. Its not to be rude at all, the world of fabs and playing is full of variations but I guess it's just interesting |

I would agree with you OP....what people identify as or how they play is their concern...but this is the internet and labels are there to make informed choices so straight meeting TV is a contradiction at best. |

I'm not into labels at all, but in the context in which you ask your question, and using 'conventional' labels (I don't do conventional either), then yes.
I'm a bi TV who takes on a female (sexual) persona, which is internal to me (ie not observable to the onlooker), so to anyone who sees me, I'm obviously a man, who is just presenting a certain idealised female image.
The guys I've met tell me they are not attracted to other men, but they are attracted to TVs and women.
But to return to my original point, these are labels that I don't use or apply. However, if a guy who sees TVs states he is 'straight' (as many do on their profiles here), then (a) he is clearly buying into such labels, and (b) he is therefore a hypocrite (or at least being a little economic with the truth). |

I’ve always found the straight/bi/gay etc labels confusing.
I’m listed as bi on here because I like to play with ladies, but I wouldn’t want a relationship with a woman. So from a sexual orientation point of view, I suppose, I am bi but in terms of myself as person I’m straight
I’m assuming the men who want to meet TV’s view themselves as straight because they aren’t interested in them beyond a sexual means. They wouldn’t have a relationship without a TV (this is just an assumption btw) so therefore don’t identify as bisexual, or gay.

On FAB it's called lying to improve the chances of a meet. |

It's not just those who meet TVs who do this but who meet other men too - it's the phenomenon known as "Fab straight" at work and most of them that do it DO so in the misguided belief that it will allow them a better chance to meet ladies and couples who won't meet those that state they won't meet bi men.
The reality is not only does it not actually guarantee they will (and definitely won't if it comes out they have lied) but also there are an equal number of people who actively seek bi guys and so by not identifying as bi they actually close the door on just as many people they open one to.
As for labels it's useful to label yourself correctly on here in order to come up in searches for people looking for your specific sexuality - which is somewhat different from the outside world where that doesn't come into it |

You're quite right about labels for fab profiles - I had to specifically state 'bi TV' because I kept getting hit on by people who naturally assumed from my appearance that I was a 'masculine w/e top repeater'.

I agree, but it doesn't bother me as it used to, as the majority of messages I get are from straight guys and yes some do want a relationship too. |

"About 80% of the guys who message me identify on here as straight.Make of that what you will "
Likewise and they all get deleted - I always figure if they're lying about their sexuality what else are they lying about |

Maybe you've got a point, but I can also understand why a properly gay man wouldn't be interested in me, as they wouldn't be attracted to feminine |

Of course they'd be unlikely to - but a straight guy who is actually bi and messaging either of us is lying about their sexuality and if they're lying about that they hold no interest for me.
If an openly gay guy messaged me that is somewhat different |

Hi and a lot of above is kinda true. I would enjoy a tv/ts , females and a smooth male only with one of the others above and not on their own. So I say I’m bi , not curious as I have tried it and enjoyed it. What others say is up to them and yes I get a lot of straight guys asking me to meet up with them but weary about that.
Well that’s my experience and just thought I’d let you know. |

This has just made me think, as a bi TV - I am attracted to bi guys but not gay guys (unless they are totally straight acting).
Hope that doesn't get me into trouble with the stereotype police - it's just an observation! |

Why would it? It's your life/profile your preference |

I would have thought it depends on how the person identify.
I might be completely wrong and I'm sorry if I cause offence. I don't know all the ins and outs as it's not my thing.
I'd say a guy is bi if meeting a CD
straight if meeting a TV as a TV identifies as a woman. Even if they are vers or top |

lol yes I noticed that too. When looking out for bi black guys to attend my bi only interracial party I encountered several who identify themselves as straight yet have a fair share of verifications from TVs.
The way I see it they're hiding in plain site. At least they're not hiding their veri's |

I'm Bi and get "straight" guys asking for a bj or sex.
I'm happy to help out but it does lay in my mind that really they are Bi as to wanting a bj off a guy instead of a woman.
Maybe it's just a kink for them or just uncomplicated sex for them. |

Whats a perp?
I go through phases of different ‘sexualities’. If im going through a phase of women only then essentially im straight. If im going through a male only phase then essentially im gay. If im fucking around with both then id be bi. Really tho i dont give a fuck about what ‘label’ people think i should be classified as. Would prefer to list my ‘sexuality’ as “prefer not to say” or “its none of your business”. But alas fab requiress simplicity.
The world we live in now some people dont even idintify as male or female. To each their own. Fuck it all. |

A Perp is a perpetrator and isn't easier to just say or just think, your bi??
But, I honestly asked as I found it interesting and essentially everyone can do whatever they like, I certainly do, but as a straight person I wanted to try to understand |

In my experience we all are open to experimenting and trying things out. I find sexuality quite interesting because you might love the sex but not be attracted to that gender how does that work? |
