What triggers a blocking?

Just seen the length of my block list and crikey...but I definitely use it as shorthand for 'this person was observed being a creep/pillock/nutter' (like whiny man-babies having tantrums about not getting meets, those who use 'sluts' or similar to refer to all women)...so what triggers your insta-ban? |

only 3 on mine one was a woman replied with a nasty message, one I think hubby blocked me because I got on to well with his wife and the other not sure

My most recent ones include:
Sending six messages in less than a day when I'm not interested.
Mistaking me for the mother of their child and threatening to stab me to death, saying they would gladly do thirty years for it 
Racist messages. For the avoidance of doubt and getting into the "preference" discussion. I mean, messages where they contact me and type derogatory abuse, using racial slurs/terminology, etc.
Insulting me, after I politely reply to their message to decline.
Certain forum posts.

Sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia. Abusive or persistent messages when I've not indicated interest. Repeatedly uploading photos (that show up in my news feed) that make me gag. Sometimes word of mouth from people I trust.
Other things too, but that's most of it. |

Rudeness, abuse, guys who can’t tske no for an answer or see I’ve deleted their messages which means I’m not interested.
Any messages that aren’t polite or start with something like “I’m gonna bend you over and fuck you bare then plant my seed inside you” had something very similar to that this morning. Straight block! Hahaha.
Also I block anyone who has lied about their age also, because in my opinion if someone can lie about something as small as age, they can lie about a lot of other things. |

Unsolicited friend requests always result in a block from me - I state this in my profile too. I only add people as friends if we have actually met (usually at clubs) or have been messaging for quite a while and intend to meet.
Crude messages sometimes end up in a block. Abusive and rude people are always blocked, as are those who send repeated messages and don't take no for an answer. |

I clearly use my block list differently, ok there are a few idiots I did not like, there are a couple of people who I know and have blocked for privacy reasons.
But, it is mainly those who I have messaged with and either party have decided not to take things forward, or those who I have looked at who don’t float my boat, who I have blocked.

People who I've messaged and have said no politely, saves me forgetting they have and messaging in future. Which is a sensible use.
People who reply to nice well written messages with "U got pix"
People with "jog on" anywhere in their profiles unless they are amazingly hot otherwise  |

Or my favourite, is when we politely say "you're not what we are looking for" and they ask "What are you looking for then"

People all operate on their own logic. There's a local couple who had me on their friends list a week ago. I just found out they blocked me. We haven't had contact in the interim, so I can't have offended them. No idea what caused it. |

Has anyone noticed that single females get the most abuse on here? As a single and formerly part of a couple I found that my single female account had far worse than the couples. Often the same guys or couples would be arseholes on my singles but nice on my couples because there was another guy there. Just says it all about men and couples on here really. |

I’ve not been anything other than a single female so I don’t know whether we get more abuse or less than others however we do get a fair amount! Some guys seem to think because we are on a sex site it’s fair game for all.
Yet if someone they’re not interested in messages them, they’d have no issue deleting the message or replying no thanks... but we get berated for doing it to them!

I've not seen a man's or a couple's profile, but my last event I got my single male host to field initial messages. I was surprised by how annoyed he got at messages that barely hit my rude radar anymore (not that I would have replied favourably to them, but more, it's not worth noting on the scale of rude, demanding, entitled, abusive or disgusting). I also otherwise get the impression that (some) people don't realise the amount or the intensity of the garbage/ abuse we have to sift through. |

messages i send that get deleted without reply i block these people. messages i send that get read but don't reply within a couple of days i block these people. people who continue to message me when iv said no thanks i block these people. |

So far I've blocked people who keep messaging when I haven't replied, a few who have used vulgar or derogatory language and one guy who I know and don't want him to know I'm on here. |

What triggers an instra ban is:-
Less than average people who think it’s ok to send abusive messages to me.
People (usually friends) who say summat derogative and take umbridge being questioned over it.
Idiots in general.
Forumites who are not nice to me on a thread when I’m contributing to the thread.
People who expect me to just drop my nickers for them.
People who question me why I’m not meeting.
People with hideous profile pics.
I could go on....

My block list made up of women who are not meeting, just chatting. Women who are not meeting single men. Women who are meeting gym fit or very specific me ( of which I am not one) but also women who have only been verfied by a specific type of man.
Putting them on the block list saves me having to skip past them on the search results. |

One persistent messenger when told that we weren’t interested.
One who blocked us after standing us up?
One chatted with us for 3 weeks then when arranging a meet decided to block us instead?
