I was due to meet a couple a few weeks back. All was arranged and I was on my way to their hotel to meet. I checked my messaged on fab just before I got there to get the room number when I received a message saying her period had started and they hated messing me about but couldn't meet and that they were gutted as they had been planning the meet for a while.
A week or two later I happened to check their profile to see a verification for the same day and time as I was due to meet them from a guy saying how great the meet was!
Why can't people just be straight?
I would way prefer if they had said, sorry meet is off as we have been keeping our options open and have picked a guy and it isn't you!

Us too. The problem is people want to appear to be nice so will sugar coat things. I'd personally rather know the truth than feel I'd been taken for a mug later.
However, if I buy a new dress and think I look lovely in it there is only one correct response when I ask "how do I look?"and it doesn't need to be the truth  |

I do not know what to say due to experience is. I believe most here are to sugar coat is and play games with peoples feeling in the end they only out there to hurt people online.  |

There are individuals who set out to hurt, one can only guess at their pwn inner pain. Most people though are trying not to upset people but in so doing actually cause upset.
Take the op. If he'd known that the couple decided they wanted to meet another guy he would have been upset but their verification from him wouldn't have come as a surprise. He also wouldn't have had the added displeasure of knowing he'd been lied to. |
