I have used the phrase to tease people.
I wait until they've tucked into their favourite food,eating it with obvious delight and relish. It's usually ice-cream or dessert.
Then I will tap them on their shoulder and ask,"Excuse me, I just need some clarification, hence the question. Are you sure you're enjoying that?'
After a pause of a nano second, they collapse in giggles.
