What about the ones who aren’t usually available in the day anyway due to working? Or the fact the ones who have been at home all day with the kids might be keener than ever to get out for some escapism in the evening?! |

Alas we can't even pay, as they aren't in the same country most of the time.

yes and what about the ones who's kids have gone on school trips or holidaying with friends parents or that invite you round with kids upstairs  |

I look forward to the school holidays. I love spending time with my youngest, they grow up far too quickly to miss a minute.
If he finds something to do that means I have some free time, fair enough but as I'll be still working during the holidays I'd rather spend my spare time with him.

On the plus side for the next seven weeks my journey to work will be so much easier! I don't have kids either so don't have to worry about any of that. Only downside is the summer holidays marks the beginning of the end of summer, nights are already drawing in  |

I completely agree! I was invited to play with a couple who’s children would have been upstairs while we played. But it was alright because ‘they hardly ever come downstairs after bedtime’  |
