As i've got a rare free evening I thought I would check out the meets. First one is a couple looking to meet a mature male or two who can accommodate in the North. All boxes checked so I try to message to see exactly where in the North. Cannot message as user has blocked all men. Got to love this site. Is it me? Do people do it for a laugh or are they just stupid? |

Maybe they would rather do the messaging rather than getting inundated with messages from men who might not be suitable? |

Try making a profile as female with no information and you’ll see why many either block all men or like me hide their profile from time to time so that I can reply to messages.
They probably want to initiate contact, far better that way. |

"Tbf OP some profiles I state even say want to meet men in there bio but block men from messaging also you get some profiles that specifically say that they will find men. "
I’d imagine a lot of couple lift their blocks when they’re specifically looking, rather than getting loads of messages even though they’re not looking |

I’m guilty of this at the moment, but I’ll drop my filters closer to the date of the meet. I’ve found meets get little response until the day before anyway.
Its also an announcement to friends of where I’ll be in case of any of them want to turn up.
In the meantime i can focus on the people im already talking to.

No whinging. I know exactly where I stand on here. Just venting some frustration and getting other peoples thoughts. Its good to see things through other peoples eyes, especially couples. Definitely not whinging though.

This seems to be a constant gripe on the forums.
If you can not contact a particular profile,for whatever reason,the profiler isn't stupid,they just don't want to hear from you on that occasion. |

Double edge sword. Men out number the women over 30to1 in some cities. So women must get hounded like hell. If you find an attractive women, she will be getting over 200 inboxes per day, if shes on a dating app as well, theres an extra 400 inboxes a day. Cant open em all.
Some may prefer to meet in clubs and chat on here, or just search and message people they like
If you want to meet people for sex, clubs are a great option and dating sites like pof, badoo and tinder will find alot more who want sex, casual dating etc.
The paradox is that the dating sites are more open to sex, and the sex sites are craving an emotional connection. And then some just like thr attention, someone may get 75 messages a day on here, but 5 on a dating site, and within this online community begin to feel more valued |

Yeah, as a straight bloke on here I block all single men, cause getting FAF's off married closeted bi and gay guys who say they are straight makes my skin crawl. I thought no meant no? Just my own experience of this place. |
