Patience for a start, loads of lube, try to find the position that most relaxes her mentally and also that relaxes her anal sphincters. One of the things to bear in mind is that a lot of women are put off anal my the "oops wrong hole" brigade. That is painful. Then even when you are with someone who does it well in your head you already think it's going to hurt so you can't relax.
Lots of patience is definately key but I also think she actually needs to want to do it.
Have she actually done anal before or just been put off after a few seconds? If she has done a good few minutes of anal and still didn't like it she might never like it. Too many guys seem to think that a woman’s arse is different to a guys and that they can just ram raid. It took a long time for me to let anyone go there as a result. You need to give the inner sphincter time to relax after each tiny stretch. It’s a different type of muscle so it can’t be controlled consciously.
I use jelly plugs. They are much more comfortable than metal or even silicon as they have more give.
