tv/cd/ts QUESTION (Profile Help)

Birmingham Airport

I am definitely definitely not meeting you BECAUSE I am straight but let me pick your brains a bit: how exactly do gay guys, tvs, cd, etc operate on here? Let me explain. My profile says I am straight and yet that does not stop guys.

So back to my original question. Is it a matter of sending loads of messages and hope that one of those straight guys is not as straight as they say? or is there something about a profile that actually makes people think or assume ''bingo, this one is a possible candidate''?

Thank you.

I get a lot of messages from guys listed as 'straight'.

The normal excuse is that they want to meet women too and women don't like bi guys.

"I get a lot of messages from guys listed as 'straight'.

So they present as straight just so they can rope in the women who wont meet bi men. I see the logic in that. It does not mean I support though.

But how does a bi guy, ts, cd etc select the profile of a guy which says STRAIGHT? Is there something which sort of ''gives the game away''?

A lot of people just mail everyone online. Even I get messages/ winks/ friend requests sometimes.

Maybe they see it as a challenge.

Unless a profile says at the bare minimum 'Looking for TV/TS' I wouldn't go near it. Oddly a lot of 'straight' profiles do. Hidden verifications from men or TV/TS are generally a give away.

Photos of them wearing knickers can be a hint, but not always.

Why not just block single guys with your filter setting, and that way you you won't get any messages again?

There are a number of reasons why guys claim to be straight when they are not:

1 They think it will scare females and couples off.

2 They are terribly confused and/or repressed and cannot admit even to themselves they are not straight

3 Many will claim that "Hey it's only a label. Who cares?"

The description "straight" on fab is so mis-used by so many for the above reasons as to be virtually worthless.

Lastly of course there is an intense fantasy shared by many bi and gay guys to get up close and sweaty with straight guys.

Laughable but it drives many.

So given the above why not mass canvass straight guys. Chances are you will strike a bullseye sooner or later.

Not this because I like no guys and say so on my profile

Somewhere

I think it’s mostly hopefulness.

Anyway, if a line has a kink in it, it isn’t straight

;-)

Kinky souls we all are.

God knows. Same reason as men send crap messages to people who obviously won't welcome them, I guess. Optimism or arrogance or something.

Anyway it's true, I get constant messages from "straight and looking for women" guys so it's hardly surprising if other people don't take such profiles at face value.

Hope this helps

I say on my profile that I don't like cock photos or crappy messages, but it doesn't seem to make much difference. What can you do?

Tbh, most TVs etc on here get so many emails you don't need to go looking. I'm not even a convincing CD so God knows how the good ones cope!

I've never messaged a single person first and get 5-20 messages a day, I can't imagine youre inundated with messages from TVs op, we don't usually need to message people first. Were the minority on this site along with single women (I'd say there's even less of us) so there can't be that many of us sending out messages first

P.S. Why not just block males and TV/TS from messaging you?

I'm bi and don't hide it and have been turned down by a few women that only want a straight man even if they themselves are bi. Personally I'm on here to meet women and couples but have a separate profile on fabguys for my bi side. It is true that a lot of 'straight" men do contact other men so I've blocked single men.

I don't mind messages from straight guys, I find it flattering to be honest if a guy who considers himself to be straight fancies me.

It's when they're all secretive and closeted about it, that's a turn off.
