I regulary stay in a nice hotel in Peterborough mainly on Tues and Thurs
I update my status and put meet up to say if anyone would like to meet socially in the bar for a chat and get to know each other - why is it couples or singles do not like meeting in hotels?? |

I doubt a free hotel room is the issue!
Have you tried chatting to people in advance of your arrival?
If you only post your status late on, I suspect many won’t be able to meet at short notice, especially on weeknights.
Also some will like to exchange a few messages before agreeing to meet just to check you’re on the same wavelength. |

I have searched people in the area and sent messages but usually little or no response
I do put my stays on my status and I do post at least a week in advance but I am sure due to the anout of posts from guys - they may be spoiled for choice...lol |

How does your success differ from when you are at home?
Many of us regularly meet for drinks, coffee etc but typically it's wherever is convenient and offers the environment that is right. Meeting in a hotel bar where someone is staying could suggest that there's less choice, it's convenient more for one side than others and it's got an association with a bedroom.
Plus it's difficult for single men to get meets and many like someone who may be available on their free days and local.
If I'm in an area I want to explore it - Peterborough has many great aspects of interest nearby. Maybe venture out with more flexibility? |
