to be honest i find its more men who call big ladies real women, rather than the women themselves
some guys just like big women so they do see them as real women where as others just think flattery will make you drop your knickers  |

At the end of the day its all down to pesonal preference
some big ladies may see themselves as 'real woman' but do you honestly think all think like that?
asking such a question is no different to asking blonde women why they think blondes have more fun etc
its just down to the individual person and how they feel and think
im over weight but i by no measn see myself as a real woman, all women are real women surely? |

and i hope i dont get a bollocking for this as im hardly a size 8 myself so by no means putting anyone down
but some times i wonder when big ladies and their fellas go on about how sexy they are etc wether they're really trying to convice us or themselves
its like when you read profiles of some BBWs and they make a big song and dance about the fact they over weight telling people to jog on etc if not for them, i dont see why you need to put that
state your big, or put your size but dont harpe on about it on your profile theres really no need and quite off putting |

i read most bbw threads and most of them start of asking 'what is bbw' or 'what size does a bbw start' etc its after this has been answered that things deteriorate lol

perhaps they say it as they are a real woman... i have seen thin womens profiles state they too are a real woman. I read it as that is who they are natural and comfortable and not a man.
If i was to read that a siamese cat was stated to be a real cat... i wouldnt assume that all other cats were not real.
i understand that analogy is a bit silly but x factor is on and im distracted :p xx |

Hi, I'm fairly new to this site but can I say BBW's to me are very sexy and I tend to go for the "curvier" shape, but this is just my preference. It's down to the individual how they describe themselves, whether it be "a real woman" or "petit" or whatever!

I always take it when someone says they are a real woman to mean they have no surgical enhancements, am I wrong in this? |

I absolutely LOATHE the term BBW. It lumps girls of a certain size into a catagory, and I am not a bloody product I am a woman. Yes I am real, I have tits and a fanny and all the correct plumbing too, but so does a size 6 woman.
Also when does one become BBW? (or stop in my case) I have lost 4 stone this year going from a 20 to a 14/16. Even as a 20 I would not say I was a BBW by other peoples standards. Some people have a preference for curves, some do not......there are no acronyms for smaller ladies or different shapes of men!

It's in our nature to put people into groups sadly. For some people, these acronyms are a way of dealing with it or celebrating it.
I don't use the term but if some women find it gives them confidence then why not embrace it.
And yes, all women are real women but the way we, the world and media treat women, some have a lower self-esteem than others.

If that gives women confidence and empowers them, that is fantastic and I totally agree with you it is human nature to pigeon hole. What I personally find empowering is someone finding me sexually attractive for other attributes rather than my shape, such is my award winning smile and cooking *honest lol* |
