Garota de Ipanema was written by Vinicius de Morae in the mid 60's. He would sit in a restaurant in Ipanema Rio and would watch this gorgeous blonde walk by on her way to the beach this is where the idea for the song came from. A very famous place where i have dined on numerous occasions in the past.It was also one of frank Sinatra's favourite places to chill out. Just thought i would share this information. |
