Even had some top DJs playing at them. Can't remember who they are though. It might come back to me when I've had some sleep though. I go out in London, Brixton specifically. "Yep been raving since 89 and was a regular at Milwarkees and went to various big raves early 90s. Had a sound system in mid 90s and put parties on until 2000. Don't really get the opportunity to go these days but still make the yearly pilgrimage to Ibiza and go out there. It's slowly getting ruined these days by the VIP culture but if you know what you're doing, you can still find some good underground parties. This year I'm tempted to see what's going on in the swingers club as it's one of the few places I haven't visited. " Love Ibiza. Last went in 2010 though ?????? Good times those parties back in the 90s. We both knew the same sound systems. I ended up getting quite closely involved with the big one on the underground scene, even released some tunes through them. Later on, in the 00s, the squat parties up in London were bonkers haha. But they were always a bit el dodge too. I later had the good fortune of hooking up with the free party scene out in the US and played my tunes out there. Last illegal I went to was a few years back... a teknival down in Spain where I did a set. Fun stuff | |||

I do keep an eye out for any outdoor events though . Trance, Hard Trance, Hard House, Hardstyle, Hardcore and some D&B"I was always partial to a few breaks, and am back making them again now, so the whole arc from hardcore (old skool) through jungle to d&b is great... although I must confess I've found it hard to like much d&b as it's just soooo generic. But people like Polar and Photek manage to stand out. Spiraltek is awesome (Marseille based tekno scene in the late 90s). Probably the best tekno ever. As for trance... I've got a soft spot for the darker stuff from the early 90s. I do like a bit of Psytrance but, again, it can get really generic. I like the fact that tekno is no longer cool anymore. It opens up the opportunity to blur genres again and remind ourselves why we fell in love with it in the first place | |||

"Thank God that most people think that tekno is not a mainstream any more...to be honest proper techno was never a popular thing... "The good stuff was always crowded out by the crap stuff. I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time most times to hear the real "blow yer head off" stuff... and that's why I'm still an enthusiast whilst others have long turned their back on it as crap. Quite rightly! The stuff they were listening to was crap. The only difference now is that almost no one is making any good stuff and few are making crap stuff either. So its finally evened the playing field a bit. Who knows? If some of us start making the good stuff again it might finally break through the noise | |||

"Mr here is an original raver, did a lot of warehouse parties 89-91 around London. We do the odd festival now and a DJ mate still does a good party every now and then. Anyone got any festival recommendations this summer?" We are going to Swingfields for first time this year. Creamfields is supposed to be good. Would recommend travelling to Europe for the best dance music festivals. Look on Google and YouTube at the following. Trance - Luminosity beach festival. Found a party in London nr Camden that's Techno and techno's changed so much since people like Sven Vath etc. It's a bonus they have a very naughty dancefloor 6-7 hour solid dancing last month and it felt great
