I travel so the miles are irrelevant but I sometimes narrow it down and put the town I'm going to be working near and then put 30/40 miles search.
If I'm in North Devon and search a certain distance it shows me people in wales(tbf it doesn't know there's a sea in the way) |

Here in Manchester 10 miles can take an hour to get to which I think is too long. I therefore set it at 5 or 10 and depends whereabouts in Manchester and how easy they are to travel to. I’d say 30 mins was my maximum travelling time. |

A small distance is fine in large towns and cities, but when you’re more rural like me you need to be looking further afield.
I usually look 50 miles as a minimum.
Also depends how far you’re willing to travel, no point looking further than that |
