I've been in the scene 5 years and only had one person stood me up.
I had one guy though who did everything to me except fuck me, I couldn't quite work that out 
Thankfully every other man has always wanted a 2nd meet, otherwise I would of become paranoid there was something wrong with me. |

I’ve only ever been stoop up once - as in, turning up but being the only one!
I’ve had a spate of blokes the last couple of weeks who have stopped chatting or disappeared after arranging a meet - that’s a bit irritating but part and parcel. It’s one of the reasons I’m focusing mainly on clubs at the moment. |

Not actually stood up, but some very last minute cancellations after kennels had been booked and child arrangements changed. A fair amount of ghosting after dates have been suggested. I guess the chase was over then. I get the impression that has increased for everyone. |

Not sure if meeting up for an introductory drink can be classed as a "meet" but I have been stood up a few times. Some men seem to have a problem with having a cup of coffee with a woman if they are not going to sleep with her. |

Happened 3 times with me. I travel so it's my time, effort, money and petrol being wasted.
Those guys chicken out over what though, I'll never understand it. Was only a social which could of led to alot more if mutal attraction was there. |

I've attempted to meet two different guys, yet they've binned me off when I suggested an actual meet. Weirdly though, they're both still talking about meeting, but that ship has sailed now for me. |

Once in 6 years for me and I knew he wasn't turning up, because of how far he was coming and me telling him it's not going to happen when he spoke about touching me under the pub table. |

So what's the answer op? I need to know the probability of me being stood up on my next meet as I've not been stood up in 6 years so I need to know if I'm due a stand up situation  |

You can soon spot which women or couples are going to be flaky and likely to be a let down and either move on or be cautious.Decent people make proper arrangements and confirm all is well of the day of the meet etc. |

This year I've had someone turn up for a hotel meet over 2 hrs late. I had left and gone home by then and I've had a social cancelled this wk as I had a meet a couple of days before and he wasn't impressed |

Twice we've had meets where the guy has just not bothered showing up.
One guy messed us around saying he wanted to meet, but then he couldn't, but then he could - so we just blocked him.
And once a cancellation at the last minute - at least he bothered to say something |

I had similar to this just after Christmas - I received a web cam veri after just chatting in chat, nothing sexual even, and a guy I'd met at a club a few days before cancelled a meet again because I was 'having enough fun' |

Stood up twice (second one we got talking to on Fab after a status rant about being stood up ) We’ve been ghosted a few times too, it’s annoying but the genuine people make up for it  |

I fell ill on Saturday evening, and had to miss a meet. We’d met earlier in the day and had a bit of fun, but the proper meet wasn’t to be until later.

It’s a fucking shit feeling letting somebody down like that, because threads like this make you know what they must be thinking of you at the time.

Thankfully she was understanding, and it’s been rearranged. It probably helps that the initial social, and off-site contact, means she knows I’m not going to muck her about for shits and giggles. |

Happy to report than on this pry old profile I have never stood anyone up or cancelled.
Being selective myself, meets are not the easiest to come by, so I'm always fully committed when I say I will meet.
Just putting that out there incase any ladies here fancy a chat to see where it takes us |

I had one social on my last profile. I was so nervous too as it was my very first time in the scene. The lady I was speaking to was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and introduced me to one of the organisers and she was brilliant too. The night went really well and we were together for a while. Although it was my first social, I never bailed on a meet, and never would. It’s a waste of both our times. I’m not going to put all the effort into getting to know someone, only to not turn up!
I’m also around the country a fair bit with work too and those nights can get awful lonely! |
