Lazy Guys...

We’ve noticed since being here that single guys bemoan about how difficult it is here for them to get anywhere - but have been staggered with the amount of Lazy messages we get sent!
We feel we have quite a good standard of profile both worded and pictures that make it quite clear what we are looking for, but the amount of guys still sending “hi how are you” first messages or worse is quite alarming.
If a guy sends a message with effort but is not for us, we reply politely - the others though get what we feel they deserve with an instant delete.
How common to others are Lazy Messages?

Arrange a meet
Read profile
Don’t show for meet

We don't mind what people send as an opening message. Mrs will reply to them all and then decide through their chat if it's someone we'd like to meet. One of our best meets came from a hi how's you message |
Reply privately, Reply in forum +quote

The thing with get how's you is a bit of a polite conversation starter then the conversation starts for me, altho I do add a bit more depending what's on their profile. But some women don't want the boring every day stuff, others seem to prefer the desceiption of how guys wanna fuck them and then a small minority nothing pleases lol...
No offence ment btw lol |

The opening message does not have to be war and peace for us a hi how are you is fine, however if we reply we expect more than just one word messages. Couples are just as bad for sending these types of messages. |

Answering only for myself, I have and do put a great deal of effort and feeling into my initial messages. But since I don't find them easy to write due to a degree of lack of self confidence I find it quite deflating when I don't get a reply or they aren't even read and just deleted.

Ok, what about when you send a well thought out message after reading the woman’s profile, put the word in the heading she asked for and she keeps replying with one word answers?! |

Then you know she’s not worth bothering with! We always reply to messages where people have put a wee bit of effort in.
Always good to remember though that women and couples have their pick of men on here, they can be lazy and it not have an effect, rude as that is.

Maybe that woman just gets too many messages to possibly read & reply to all & has to block delete now n then to keep her head above water
Or if that’s not her case then you wouldn’t want a reply from someone like that - we always reply to nice messages from guys who have read our profile fully even if it’s a polite No ty |

I’m usually upfront and politely decline. There are a few guys that are not taking no for an answer and still message me loads. I won’t block as too polite but I would hope that one word answers would get the message across. |

One word answers . ...they will be happy they are at least getting an answer. It is kinder to explain that they are not your type than to keep them stringing along. I would say it's been nice messaging you, but think we aren't going anywhere. Then block. At least they know why they were blocked and can move on . ( just my thoughts ) |

I’ve said that several times but some are too nice to block. I just can’t do it unless they were rude. I need to be more ruthless. Some have been talking to me for months, they ask about my day but it’s hard to cut them off without offending. |

It isn’t just single guys who give three word sentences, it goes for couples and single ladies aswell? We’ve had our fair share, but agree, the majority are from single guys. We’ve noticed there are some quality lads in the forum, who ask all these questions, why can’t they write there profiles in the same way? Ok some are stupid, but a lot aren’t? |

"Keep making the effort tho and your luck Will turn!" Oh, go and climb out of your own arses, the pair of you.
.
Yet another couple with a dull-as-dishwater profile that tells us absolutely nothing of any interest whatsoever, and that gives the reader absolutely nothing to go on, demanding that single guys dance for you to get your attention. Get over yourselves.
.
You’ve wrapped yourselves up in your little world, and believe that what you’ve experienced is the be-all and end-all of what goes on. Single guys must be the only ones who do this. And, it must be all single guys who sit at home, wanking away and sending out boring messages. If you had even just an ounce of self-awareness between you, you’d realise that you’re part of the problem.
.
But, hey, I’m just a single guy, eh. I’ve got nothing better to do with my life than sit here crafting well-worded, intelligent, witty opening messages for soporific dullards who couldn’t be bothered putting the effort into their own profile, so I’ll make up the ground with every single message I send out. |

I would totally agree that the content of someone message says a lot about them and where there intentions lay.
But lets not forget, we men so out number the women, so you lovely women/couples have all the choices, not us
No matter if we read a profile and message someone that we seem to fit their likes etc and no matter how polite our messages are, a significant number are never replied to or immediately deleted
Basically, we cant win which ever way |

As a few people have stated on here.
There is nothing wrong with a hello how are you today, type of message nor is it lazy.
Its a conversation starter and letting the person know your interested.
They will then hopfully click on your profile and they will either like what they see and read or they wont.
If they like then they will reply with a im great what about yourself message and then the conversation can go from there.
If they dont like then they need not replay.
But asking for a paragraph of twaddle (knowing that guys will just chat anything they might feel will get into your knickers) well doesnt seem the best way to decide of thats who your going to reply to or meet.

personally, i would always read through a profile and try to make any message relevant to the individual. I'm not a natural typist and make lots of mistakes (especially when typing on the phone) all of which becomes a bit time consuming.
I guess each message i send has probably taken me 20 minutes to read the profile, have a think of what to say, type it out. Correct the typing. Re-read it. Correct more typing. Send message. Quickly send brief second message apologizing for the remaining bad spelling.
I also guess that for every response i get, i've sent 20 messages. When you tot that all up, theres a lot of time soaked up. I can totally see why some blokes a but closer to thre front the bus on the road to desperation lose the plot a bit and just fire out dumb messages because they think its fruitless and just take a punt...

While I can't really comment on messages from single guys, I have to say some of the couples and single female profiles are just as dull and unimaginative. The times I have read... 'will fill in later', a classic. Or 'I am a single female looking for men, couples and females'. Again another classic. Very often they have been on the site for over a year. Even sadder, some of them actually have verifications from these very informative profiles. |

I can see both side of this.
I get a lot of those one liners too. It’s exciting to see messages in your inbox, but it’s a bit of a let-down when it’s just ‘Hi how r u?’
On the other side, one scenario is : some men must see a lot of profiles with just a list of do’s and dont’s with a few photos. This probably makes it extremely difficult to break the ice with these profiles.
Since I’ve changed my profile, I now receive more longer thought out messages addressing things on my profile now. I still get the lazy ones too though.
So, my conclusion the lazy men need to start putting effort in..... and some of the reciprocates need to make their profile more approachable for men be able to initiate a nice message. |

Is it laziness? I suspect they simply don’t know any better. Makes me wonder what their chat up skills would be like in a bar?
Similar issues with females and couples of course. Just simply down to poor communication skills or lack of literacy. At the risk of being seen as a snob, despite being a poor boy from London who left school at 15, poor literacy is an instant turn off. |

Or maybe some people lack confidence or have low self esteem. Generalising it down to poor literacy isn’t snobbish, it’s making assumptions at best and pretty fucking ignorant at worse. |

OK I've hammered some of the single guys on other threads today but you have to be fair when it comes to short first messages.
We know many guys that send out detailed messages and still get no replies, so what are they to do?
Sit all day crafting long messages of which 90% + will get binned? Or send out a few short ones to test the water then go on from there.
We don't mind short first messages as long as there is something in it that tells us that the sender has read our profile. Which sadly are quite rare. |

This.
I understand supply and demand but the fact is females and couples are just as guilty of said messages. It really depends on how I'm feeling when I open the message. I'll usually view the profile. If it has engaging content I might reply. If not, delete.
Why would I waste my time coming up with an imaginary profile for you from which to craft a so called "thought out" message.
Food for thought... There are significantly more males than couples and females here as we keep hearing.
If there are (rough guess) 50% of either male, female or couple here that send out one liners then guess what? Expect a shit ton of one liners from guys.
Let's see how long before another post complaining about one liners from guys. |

I’ve just had a message (got all excited) from a young couple of 19 & 21, getting really excited, and it simply said “hey”.
What do I reply? |

"We’ve noticed since being here that single guys bemoan about how difficult it is here for them to get anywhere - but have been staggered with the amount of Lazy messages we get sent!

"Not forgetting the ..... your loss your missing the best ... when they are rejected " I have to own up to sending this once, but that was before my pics were up, and was speaking to someone, messages back and forth, she was really happy chatting to the silhouette, then, er no thanks, |

Out of interest can you tell us what you want to read in the message as I am one that always struggles with what people want to hear.
