L7 are making a comeback after 20 years - ‘Came back to Bitch’ is a stonking track!
Milk Teeth is a relatively new Punk rock / alt band, their latest releases are outstanding! |

L7 are one of my favourite bands! Seeing them in Vegas (Punk Rock Bowling Festival) in May & Camden in June
Punk Rock wise, have a listen to Swingin Utters, Get Dead, Social Distortion, Darkbuster, Left Alone, Nothington, The Lillingtons, Teenage Bottlerocket, Against Me, Jugheads Revenge, Star Fucking Hipsters, Choking Victim, Operation Ivy to name but a few.
A varied mix of Punk on a subject close to my heart |

Thanks all. Excellent recommendations from you all. I like this post, as I know some of these bands already. I like against me, choking victim, social D. So I’ll give the rest of these a spin! |

If you like Choking Victim, you’ll love Star Fucking Hipsters - it’s Stza’s other band (Besides Leftover Crack - who I’ve seen a few times but not a huge fan) Choking Victim & SFH are much better.
A few more worth checking out - The Dwarves, The Interrupters, Authority Zero, Manic Hispanic, Screeching Weasel, Face To Face, Masked Intruder, Bad Cop/Bad Cop
I spend a significant amount of my life going to gigs - surprised I’m not deaf! Lol |

"You've been tattooed by him?!? Wow - love rancid! Just finished the nofx book too! Great read!"
Yeah, occasionally he’ll do a week stint at Skunx tattoo in Angel, he only tattoos ‘Rancid Punx’ but it was too good an oppertunity to turn down!
Love NOFX as well - another band I’m seeing in Vegas next month and Brixton in June! The book is quality - have met Smelly a few times and again, an absolutely lovely bloke.
This thread has got me started, I’ll probably not shut up now! Lol |

SLF, in our humble opinion the best punk band ever, seen them loads of times most recently was in March and next in May.
Undertones very good also the ruts were very good live when we saw them. |

You’re lucky, you’ve got Snuff supporting them in Brum, we’ve got The Skints, who’re good but I love Snuff.
Well worth getting there early and seeing Bad Cop/Bad Cop - great band, especially live |

"I came close to getting punx tattooed on my knuckles after the DJ DJ song by The Transplants
"
Do it
Can’t see them in my pics but so far have got band tribute tattoos for the following, 2 x Clash tattoos, a Face To Face one, an obligatory Misfits one, Left Alone, Darkbuster, a Social Distortion Skelly and an Elvis/Vegas one
Just recently had Punk As Fuck done on my leg as well |

Don’t mind SLF, seen them a couple of times recently and they were very good though.
The early Ruts stuff I love, and I keep meaning to go and see them but just not got round to it.
Saw The Strang lers recently and they were excellent, even without Hugh Cornwall, I kept thinking I’d heard all their best stuff and then they played another tune that I’d forgotten about! Amazing how many great songs they have |

Nothing left to prove is good record. Or just whatever Spotify suggests will do the job |

Wow. Love this thread. The NOFX book is great, so honest. Ruts DC are the best of the old geezers bands still going. Always loved their punky reggae mash up. Still love The Damned but they've lost some energy in recent years. SLF are always great live. I agree that Sleaford Mods are pure punk attitude. Not seen them live yet. Crass and Poison Girls must get a mention. Check out Inner Terrestials. |

"Remember L7 on The Word, when she pulled her jeans down and showed her bush, zero fucks given?!"
Saw them at the Marquee in 92, one of the best gigs I’ve ever seen, made even more memorable as one of the mates I was with was given a handjob in the crowd by a girl who was standing next to her boyfriend! Lol
Also saw them st the Rlectric Ballroom a couple of years ago & that also ranks up in my top gigs ever!
I also have a bit of a crush on Jen Finch and if I happen to bump into her at Punk Rock Bowling in Vegas (which is reasonably likely) I think I’m gonna have to tell her! Lol |

The Adverts were among the best - and Gaye Advert was great fodder for a teenage fantasy!
Saw a young all-female trio called the Tuts a while back - they're great, a bit towards the poppier end of punk on record but live on stage had all the right attitude - even did a cover of my third-favourite Clash song as an encore |

Go on then, top 3 Clash songs "
Well the third fave one as mentioned above was Rudi Can't Fail.
Top two, on no particular order, Tommy Gun and Clampdown. Yours? |

Definitely number one is Guns Of Brixton (have that tattoo’d across my shoulders! Lol)
And at the moment (as the ones below change on a regular basis!)
Complete Control
Bank robber
Police On My Back

A metal suggestion would be Bad Wolves, they've only released 3 singles so far with an album on the way in May. They covered Zombie by The Cranberry's and they nailed it. I'll be keeping an eye on this group. |

Don’t Back Down
Beyond The Valley If The Ass Fuckers
Punk Rock Confidential
All of those are worth a listen
My iPods throwing up some great tunes (not that there’s anything but on there!) and it keeps reminding me to mention more bands!
Toy Guitar (couple of members of the Swingin Utters)
Dillinger Four
Off With Their Heads
Against Me
Pulley
As you can probably tell this is a subject close to my heart and can chat for ages on it! Lol |

Utters are one of my favourite bands, if they’re playing an overseas festival it will always make me think about going!
Just got into the office & stuck Implants on - cheers for that, had t heard of them, but like what I’m hearing from the first couple of tracks!
D4 are amazing, completely different from anyone else out there - lucky enough to see them a couple of times over the past 2 years |
