What does this mean? I am paid to do my job therefore I am a professional, an escort is paid to do his/her job and is, therefore a professional. Likewise a footballer, a milkman, a lawyer etc etc etc. are some people trying to seem better than others? A job description is not important it is the person or persons that are important.

Always a some what strange one this, my feelings are that some feel that should their profile with a pic attached got out in to the public domain they would have a 'problem'

Some times there maybe a little 'snob' value attached too!

last time i commented on professional i got accused of having hidden insecurities...which as someone living in the aga belt made me pmsl

i take it to mean they make assumptions about what sort of person does which sort of job.Which means they are not my type of person.

Don't mind seeing it, I guess it guarantees that a guy/couple won't be stupid...

If you really want to know, and not just displaying a level of inverted snobbery - type "professional" in the forum search and you can spend the rest of the day reading the 10000001 threads on this by other disgruntled people.

There...I said it!

To me its a descriptive, like tall, blond, VWE etc etc. If I like the profile and pics then what does it matter?

Or they could be very very good at what they do, like footballers.

Perhaps what people are realy trying to say is they will be discrete!

i.e a professional male in say a solicitors office is less likely to start telling about the couple he fucked the arse off last night, than say, the brickie over a brew with his workmates!

Not saying that is true but just an idea!

Another inverted snob thread.

It only seems like yesterday since we had the last one !

Whatever people put on their profiles is their business unless it is out to offend anyone or group.

If you don't like or understand something on a profile then they are not for you so move on & leave them to those who do.

There is something unpleasant about threads that bash other people's profiles.

We are all here for fun

"and for every 'professional' with a superiority complex there is an 'unprofessional' with an inferiority one... "

And that's about the size of it.

I might edit my profile and state I am a multi-professional with more professional qualifications than you can shake a short stick at.

The thing is, I don't state I am a professional as for me it isn't relevant. It doesn't relate to what I am looking for or my preferences.

Some people don't have height preferences.... I do. It's not relevant to them, it is to me.

If people think it is relevant to state they are... it's up to them.

If people think it's relevant to state they are seeking professional people... that is up to them too.

No one is forced to contact these people.

In fact complaining about people using the word 'professional' on their profile is a bit like billy button knob complaining about people stating they are only seeking men with large cocks.

Having said all that…. I do find it odd/weird/saddo alert-ish when people state what type of car they drive and the other material things they own…. on their profile.

I just can’t see the relevance… coz they ain’t gonna give me their car at the end of the meet are they?

It just reminds me of a ‘cash attracts the bimbo trophy’ mentality…. which leads me to think they don’t understand the concept of mutual recreational sex.

Being professionally qualified isn't always a guarantee of intelligence.

Many professionals we've met have had a good knowledge in a single field, that field being their chosen profession.

Beyond that most haven't had the sense to piss down wind, when it comes to general knowledge and worldly wisdom they've proved to be quite dense.

In my experience people dislike requirements on someones profile which exclude them. If they state it it has relevance for them. I did have a polite gent recently who wrote to let me know that we may have more meets if we lowered our requirements. I sent him a polite reply explaining that we had as many as we want with guys who had the whole package. To his credit he returned the mail in a complimentary manner about his disappointment at not being one of them. It all amuses me. I just can't find it in me to be bothered or care about profiles I don't qualify for.

Couldn't agree more.....it's the choice of each individual member/s what to put on their profile (providing it falls within the site rules).

I know the 'Profile Police' won't like that but......pfffft

We all have choices, if people want to meet others with a similar 'social standing' then it's up to them....

I'm not into all that myself but as I said....it's all down to personal choices and preferences.

Horses for courses! Some people want to have sex with people like themselves. How they define that criteria is up to them largely. Do people who say they have a big cock, or big boobs, or like potential meets to be able to spell, come across as trying to seem better than others? I hope not. I assume they're just describing themselves and/or what they want. Its not their fault how others perceive that description.

Oh and just because someone is paid to do a job it doesn't make you a professional at it. Google the term if you haven't already. Nothing against milkmen, (my mum loved ours) but I don't think it can be classed as a profession can it?

Someone putting they are "professional" cuts not mustard with me. It simply means they probably wouldn't meet an oik like me so I move on.

What does cause me to chuckle though is those that put they are "Proffessionals". And some do.

it is similar to some that denounce Jezza, X Factor Katie Price etc etc... Professional is perceived by some as being superior, whilst others think that people who watch these are mindless morons..

each to their own...

Because they've come across someone they want to fuck who is a professional and they're on JSA and feel excluded and aggrieved so start arsey threads.

Well that's my take on it...could be wrong...*shrugs* ...doubt it.

I know what you mean. Well it either does or maybe they arent looking to meet. Lets face it, some dont make much of an effort on their profiles which I usually take to mean they probably dont want to meet. Either way you reap what you sow I guess.

I take it to mean someone in the field of Law, Healthcare, Social Work etc etc..someone who has to join a register that enforces their conduct in a manner that is both ethical and moral, has a professional qualification (eg a degree in Nursing) and so on...if, however, they just mean that they work in an office in whatever capacity then they are pretty much up their own backsides IMHO and trying to be socially 'better' than others...ridiculous really as this does not a 'professional' make lol

Putting all that to one side, really, who cares? It's the individuals that matter...their personalities are whats important and not their job at the end of the day...at least, thats what i think, feel free to disagree lol

Personally I don't feel the need to question what others choose to out on their profile to attract "like-minded" people to play with.

If it excludes me I look elsewhere, why waste time analysising profiles of people NOT looking for me?

Bottom line is 'professional' means someone passed an exam set by someone who believed they knew what a professional needs to know (;-)

I'm of the school that says what the hell, if someone wants to call themselves whatever does it matter? Life is too short for nonesense; live and let live (;-)
