Not that I'm Beeing picky i was just wondering if anyone felt the same way as me that regular status updates give the site more of a alive feel sometimes seems like a ghost town with days old status still there, would also create better conversations I think.
Any thoughts. |

Some folk moan about them comparing it to Facebook.
Personally I'm not sure why people get so irritated. You take and leave what you want from the site. None of it's force fed.
As for the question...I like to see what people are up to...it's like people watching and intrigues. |

"Mine would say “watching SPECTRE” so hardly tantalising tbh. "
Actually you gave me an erection, imagining you watching Spectre is a hot mental image.

I like status updates, they tell me something about a person. I post new updates fairly regularly, and quite a few conversations have been initiated as a result.
What I don't like, are negative, whinging, or passive aggressive updates...what do people possibly hope to achieve from posting them!?

I agree with you all really I wouldn want a running commentary of someone's life like Facebook I do like to read them though, when it's been the same for 2 days or without a status at all it just feels a bit like an empty place.
I understand that people have lives to lead and come on maybe just to look around or browse obviously and there's nothing wrong with that, I think it's just a stage experience on here sometimes maybe it's just me |

"Handy for seeing the repeat two day profiles that pop up with same picture after they go UNLOS. "
Not so much those that go UNLOS but I don't get the repeated photos that get posted from time to time. Is it a case that if a pic gets 50 fabs on one day, it gets taken down and a couple of days later gets another 50 fabs that it has a 100 fabs, or is the fab counter reset? And can these pictures be fabbed by the same people time and again?
I do like some Status posts to (getting back on track) Funny ones will always make us smile, its the "Thanks for last night, you know who you are..." type ones that make us think why, particularly as they will be verified 10 minutes later and they reveal to the world that we all know who they are. Why bother |

I generally don't mind them however, there is a couple locally that post a status like Facebook. The guy will post something and then an hour later the female will post another, replying to the first status. I don't know why but I find it so cringe-worthy. I've even blocked them in the past so I don't see it but they delete their acc quite often and then pop up again! |

I find some of the statuses hilarious.
'I can't reply to anyone cos I'm almost out of messages'
'Could Brenda please message me? I'm out of your age range/preferences but think we could really hit it off.'

I like them, people should definitely do it more often. In the past I’ve actually messaged the more intriguing ones lol.
The creepy & desperate ones are also a good indication of who to avoid lol |
