When is a couple a 'real' couple?

A lot of couples differentiate between fb couples and 'real' couples. At what point (after how long) does a fb couple become a 'real' couple? What are the differences? If two friends have been meeting as a couple for months, years even, what, effectively is the difference to a couple they may play with?

You are a couple as soon as you are coupled....

IMO a real couple area couple who are either married to or are long term partners to each other... I wouldn't play with FWBs for FBs as it just isn't the same dynamic

In our experience, we’ve played with fb couples and real couples at clubs. Granted not as many fb couples, but have experienced mixed results.

Of course we all have our individual needs or wants, but with a real couple, there’s appears to be more of a togetherness and alignment to each other.

The security of a relationship usually amplifies assurance to couples, who also love each other, that they are going to have fun with likeminded people.

There are times where we’ve seen a lack of respect between the two, or one disappears and has used “typically” the woman as a ticket to attend a couples night.

I know the above statement may not be the case with all fb couples, and of course there can be this scenario with “real” couples:

If this was the case of a “real” couple, then we wouldn’t play with them either.

Ultimately we look for the respect between the two of them, regardless of their actual status. Two of our best swinging friends were actually fuck buddies. But how they treated each other made us feel comfortable.

We’re delighted that three years on, they decided to become a “real” couple.

I go to clubs with my male fb we’ve been fking now for about 9/10 years. We tried a relationship about five years into fking but didn’t work for either of us and lasted about 3 weeks . Tbh weirdly it bought us closer as fuck buddies we are really great friends and nothing surprises us with each other, when we go to clubs people assume we are a couple because of how close they can see we are with each other (we do put ppl straight on the matter, before any play with others) I love him dearly but I’m not in love with him.

Think what I’m trying to say is sometimes you just don’t know who is an actual couple and who’s not especially at swinging clubs! Well unless you can blatantly see they just used each other to get in then split up in there or like myself explain the situation

well over the years we have played with [real] couples .and fb type couples .we think its just how you jell with folks .some the tension is electric .some not so.the main difference is the fbs it is just fun on the night. the couple you may end up going to there home for a cup of tea in the afternoon a week later.

I think there is a big difference, with a couple that play together,a couple that are great friends and and have the hots for each other and the couple that have all the above and more and are in love with each other,

I think as I see it it means please respect that neither of us wish to be looking to run off with anyone lol

Fb’s are just that and could potentially be looking to meet someone long term on here where’s as a ‘real’ couple are happy with each other but just looking for extra excitement together so please don’t try to come in between.

That’s how I would view it nothing nasty meant from them but setting the record straight

swingers clubs

It's about the couples relationship with each other not the amount of time spent playing together

We look for the " love "

If i get the strong vibe that they are very much in love and into each other then they are what we are looking for.

Just not interested in fb couples, they lack the long term intimate connection that we look for.

This is by no means a slate to fb just our personal expirence
