Me and priya were in Norwich last year and we saw signs about an army lad who went missing who apparently was on fab etc |

Sad news.
There was a court case in Cardiff last year.
Attempted murder.
Two men who'd met through Fab Guys.
The man who travelled to the other person's home tried to kill him.
I guess these things are rare, but not impossible. |

I believe in the celebration of life rather than the mourning. I’d be gone and you Can’t change that but you people, as a community, make it all it for me.
Let’s be thankful for this ladies fun times and all the friends she made.

Just saw her profile. She seems like a geniunely good outgoing person which makes this more tragic. I hope there is justice for her. Aggreed it should be removed so not used malicously but some kinda tribute somewhere would be good. |

Everyone should be mindful to the fact that, when arranging meets, no matter how genuine they sound in messages or by phone. Safety is paramount. And unfortunately in some cases things go wrong, as has possibly been so in this was case.
We are all presuming she was on a meet. She may not have been, she may have already known these people. And a sad tragedy ensued, we don't know. But, we should all be mindful of where our meets take place and with whom. Safety is never guaranteed in life, but extra vigilance should be considered when meeting, wether that be as a couple of as a singl , make it female, or as in this case Tgirl .

No one knows, she's not here anymore to tell us. I honestly can't imagine anyone having an issue with a social event to raise money for a charity that helps other people like her tho...I'll stick with my plan to arrange an event to remember her. |

RIP Naomi condolences to her family and friends.I now have a better understanding of why people prefer to meet in clubs.Its a shame you have to be on your guard at all times but unfortunately that's the way of the world not just FABS. |

I disagree.
All my meets have been inside the guys private home. All been a social first. Socials can show up alot. Thankfully there's still so many decent guys left on this site. The horrid ones who looked nothing like their pics or who I just felt uncomfortable with, I never saw them again. Going straight to a meet without a social first is ridiculous in my opinion. Socials are NOT dates. If a guy can't be bothered to spend 1 hour or less having a coffee etc with me, then he clearly isn't the sort to show respect and effort in any other area.
Anyone can book a hotel using anyone's bank card or cash etc. You have no real way of knowing who is going to be waiting for you in that hotel.
If a person is dodgy or just perverse, he isn't going to give out his home address.
I take a copy of his face pic along with his number and address, i leave it with my best friend. If she doesn't hear from me within an hour or two, or even the next morning, she knows where to send the police! I make my meet aware I'm doing this.
Every one of my meets have gone this way except one. I felt more comfortable and at ease inside a meets home then any hotel! |

I agree, a public place for a social is best. I had a nasty experience at a social last year with a chap who raised a fist at me, because there were public around us he ran off when I got my phone out to ring the Police! Keep safe peeps  |

The purpose of this topic was to raise awareness and also a reality check for some people inc me and priya.
Regarding socials...I think anyone can play the nice person in public. Just because someone is nice on a social it doesn't mean they aren't Jekyll and Hyde. H |

It is reasonable to clarify that there is no Fab or other site link at this time. All too often these tragedies involve people who the victim knows and has known for some time. We don't know.
We can all make assumptions but now is probably a time to just pass on best wishes for a sad loss. |

Some guys can not handle there emotions with TV/CD or even when exploring there by curious side. That's why I prefer to meet gay men only and not bicurious men. See the film Tracey's Stories starring Sean Bean sums up the risks out there |
