Is anyone else put off by reading that on someone's profile?
I guess this mainly applies to singles, but when I read "I have a fuck buddy that I can bring along/for mff etc" I instantly think no. It may possibly be due to past situations seen, but I think I can't be dealing with the drama or I'm not interested in giving him a mff. |

Yep I feel exactly the same! Stick with ‘f’ buddy then and leave me alone is what I think! |

Yes i,m put off by it too and would not meet a man with it in their profile. When I had my fwb I used to say to men or couples who asked for mff yes if the female would do mff with me and my fwb in return, they always said no. It was a great filter xx |

It just sounds downright condescending. Why not call them a friend and leave the rest for a longer conversation? Surely they do not call their vanilla friends a "pub buddy", "talk buddy" or "club buddy"? |

That's how I feel, why the need to make a statement about it unless the aim is to get the other person involved too |

Some do say they have a "female/male friend that they can bring along", but to me it doesn't matter how it's phrased it still has the same response. |

"what I find worse is when its a first message and it says they have a FB 'if that's what I prefer' but there is no mention of it on their profile "
Oh those ones are great for me, just shows they've not even looked at my profile and just made assumptions and thought they'd try their luck! But I now have 0 tolerance and will either delete or block |

I mention my fwb (not a fuck-buddy, there's a vast difference!) on my profile and its had the desired effect... I no longer get randomers mailing me thinking I must be gagging if I upload a new pic
If anyone does ask about meeting us both (some remember him from when he was still active on the site), I make it clear that he's not meeting. |

I went and read, got to that point and thought so why are you on here. If you were a man that I was interested in meeting I may have read the rest, but probably wouldn't have as it put me off completely.
But if you're happy with it there and the fewer messages you receive then I guess it has a useful purpose for you. |

I have never understood the "they can join in" or "a super fit guy available" bit either. If you have an fb, that's great but there's little need to announce it to the world or let it interfere with any meets. It comes across like they have a key or something. |

We've seen so much drama from this type of arrangement.
Where there's apparently not a relationship, but one expects exclusivity from the other, while they meet freely.
It just seems to breed jealousy and almost always ends in some big fallout.
We steer away from this sort of profile, and prefer genuine couples.
Just our preference. |

"We don't trust them to be up honest. Unless they can provide a verified couples profile "
Didn't think of them messaging couples saying they have a fb. I guess some put it on their profile as they believe it covers all angles, whereas for some it is a deterrent. |

We're not a couple and don't meet as a couple. There's no expectation of exclusivity on either of our parts.... he chose to stop meeting because of other commitments... simple as that! As do I when I don't have the time We're simply two friends who met and clicked on Fab a couple of years ago, have the utmost respect and affection for each other, and are happy to continue having fun and adventures... no drama... no fuss... To be quite honest it works better than a lot of 'conventional' relationships I've had |

So what is the reason you have it stated on your profile then? Just to keep messages down? |
