We have just about givin up with the winkers. We used to send a nice message back thanking them and telling them a bit about us, more than often we never heard from them again. So after deciding we are no longer wasting our time on this approach, decided if the profile that winked us looks like what we are all looking for we'd just wink back. Think we'll just give up as we often see the winkers who don't message back putting a status up 'does no one meet on here' Yes they do, it's not difficult, wink, we wink back, send a message and let's sort out meeting up, it really is that easy. |

A nice message is much nicer than a wink every time. Read a profile and if it floats yr boat and looks like a match, little message. It's shows from the outset you are good at communicating. |

I can see the appeal. A wink is expressing interest, making yourself known without fear of writing a message that could get deleted.
I've responded to winks, and I'm not confident enough to send an initial message, so I will send a wink if i'm interested. |
