After reading the thread about people not turning up for meets.
Made me think
how many people would honestly cancel a meet, if they had to for whatever reason or go through with it if they wasnt sure? |

I tend to talk alot and get to know a person before meet stage, then i will only meet for social first. I am a fussy biatch
If i wasnt 100% sure i wouldnt go through it with for the sake of saving face, and wouldnt expect the other party to either xxx |

if i wasn't sure it wouldn't get the point of meeting
i have only ever sent one person away who wasn't what they seemed online |

went to the house as planed but regretted it as soon as i went in
the place was filthy dog hairs every where and the smell

I have done exactly the same.
Walked in and there was food on the floor and ciggy butts all over.
Used the same excuse too.
It gave me no pleasure doing it- but I felt these people weren't 'in control' enough to be inviting strangers into their home for NSA. |

At the end of the day, none of us has an obligation to meet anyone just because we're on a swingers' site, any more than we're obliged to meet someone from work for a drink after hours. Circumstances change, problems arise, people's opinions change. You've just got be a grown-up about it.
What I would object to is spending time getting ready and travelling to meet someone on;y for them to cancel when I arrived (if I was going to theirs) or just not turn up (if meeting somewhere neutral). Cancel if you want, but have the courtesy to let the other party know. |

i think everyone would cancel a meet if they had to
The thing is everyones idea of whats important enough to justify canceling a meet is different
Ive had loads of guys cancel on me because of 'car problems', i dont drive so all my meets i get to without a car so why does your car not working mean you cant get to a meet?
Thats not me saying they should come by the way im just using it as an example of how people see reasons to not meet differently |

I would never just not turn up, been on the receiving end more than once and its not fun, but on principle alone i would only cancel if i had too and make sure there was as much notice as possible given.
people have many genuine reasons for cancelling, i don't mind cancellations as long as i am given as much time as possible to make other plans. |

Funnily enough I cancelled a meet this morning, that was for this evening.
When I got up this morning, I knew I had something on/to the day, just couldnt think what.
Whilst having my morning coffee I minded, I was going to the dentist in the afternoon for him to finish off root canal, so didnt think I would be the mood for a meet after that.
The guy was perfectly fine with it, I had given him plently notice and it was a valid reason. |

we have cancelled meets a few times, usually because of reasons beyond our control. like family, period ect, but we have a life and sometimes it gets in the way of swinging, how ever annoying it may be. some people can get quite nasty about it. |
