Should we be suspicious of a message we received?

Brizzle

Just received a message from the female half of a couple. We don’t get many messages, & the majority are impersonal copied & pasted one liners from people who haven’t read our profile.

This is probably the first message this year that contains “naughty” in the title as we ask people to do & it’s definitely not a one liner, so straightaway our interest is piqued.

It’s articulately written although there are some strange phrases in there “deep kissing” & DIY for example. She then goes on to talk about certain scenarios she enjoys & things she likes to wear, she is very interested in bi play & wants to know if hubby joins in (thought that was clear from our profile). To close she says “must close now as getting too warm”

Not really sure what the premise of the message is but there are attached face pics of her & him & they have a decent profile also.

So have we hit the jackpot? Initially we thought yes but the more we read the message the more we think maybe a mans written it, The other stumbling block is they’ve been on Fab over a year & have no veri’s.

Are we right to be suspicious, guess we’re not allowed to post the messsge here?

No we wouldn’t meet separately & wouldn’t meet without a FF conversation but just wondered what others think.

Thanks.

Chat with her/them further and then go with your gut instinct. Sadly when things looktoo good to be true they usually are.

Even the British army agree that your gut feeling is a very important part of decision making. They call it atmospherics. Something just isn't right, you might not know what it is but your body alarm is going mad!

Further investigation required. Don't block without further chat. It could end up being something good and they people are just strange (hang on, aren't we all???)

The big alarm bell for us here is them being on the site over a year with no veries.

Give "them" 2 options.

Cam as a couple.

F2F chat on the phone.

If they cant/wont do either, then bin them off.

I honestly can’t understand this, like you say absolutely pointless. I can’t get my head around the motivation for posing as a couple when you’re not. It doesn’t achieve a thing and I suspect when they get called out on it they feel like a right tit so I cant even accept the argument that they get a kick out of it lol

Even guys get messages off 'couples' wanting dick pics and wank chat etc as the 'female'

They are usually quite obvious though and when questioned usually run away themselves. Ask for more info or pics (live pics, I.e camera or cam) if they are genuine they should deliver if not they will probably remove themselves.

The only way to know for sure if they are a real couple is to chat more, both by messaging and a phone/webcam chat. Then arrange a social meet if/when everyone is ready.

I frequently get messages from "couples" where it is now a single man. They are usually very easy to spot and I ask them outright if they are still a couple. They usually say they used to be but have split up and it is now just the man using the profile.

Once they confirm they aren't a couple I report and block them.

Btw I can understand why they would ask if you both play. You don't specify this on your profile and your pics are mostly of the lady. Lots of couples only want ff play while the man/men watch and it can help everyone to clarify this early on.

As we have written many times on here it is exceedingly easy for a MAN to have (even a verified) couples profile (evan one that wasn't previously a couple i.e. now split up. If we have to explain it again for anyone who can't see how easy it is - we gladly will.

There are hundreds (maybe thousands) of males on here as verified couples. The main way to suss it quickly is for a fem to fem phone call - being careful not to give your number out of course. Once the excuses start flowing as to why the fem can't talk to you just block and report.

It's just one of the aspects that's ruining Fab nowadays. As for the OP's post - on over a year and no veris - block, block, block - and block again.

Hubby does play sometimes but is a happy voyeur, we did use to have this on our profile. We might send one message & see what happens, they’ve gone to a lot of trouble with their profile, their message to us plus the reading of our profile, so need to give them the benefit of the doubt I guess.

We could just block & move on but if she’s really her in the picture we’re interested, if we don’t make the next move we’d never know. Single males pretending to be females we’ve experienced, but never couples can’t get our heads round it!

When we get a message from a couple we start from a point of suspicion and continue to chat until we are confident that the person is genuine or fake. Sure we have probably missed out on some genuine couples along the way but so be it.

Always hard to tell as obviously there are a lot more men than fems on here, so you do get guys crafting "couple" messages.

If your curiosity is piqued enough and the distances aren't too large ask to do a social meet first.

If only the guy turns up then it's pretty sure the fem won't be turning up later in most cases.

Best of luck anyway.

I quite agree. I’m a proper ugly bugger and originally joined here as part of a couple with my FB but we have now gone our separate ways. Can’t change profile to a single male but I state this in profile and make sure people know it when (if it ever happens) I chat to anyone. Also have pictures of me. What’s the point having fake pics too if you want to meet someone. It defeats the purpose.

Happens all the time, I'd say 80 percent of the so called couples who contact me are the male half or just a random man trying to get wank material.

As soon as you ask to voice verify with the fem half they generally disappear/go quiet/make random excuses.

Go with your gut .

Dear lord lol!

"They" will say yes, and ask to add you as a friend (so he can bang one out over your pics).

"They" may even agree a day and time to meet.

If it gets that far, he will either turn up alone and make excuses about her not being available, or just not turn up.

"We will not accept a friends invite & are not that stupid as to agree to meeting without having either a cam or a phone call with them both first. "

OP - here's how it works dead easily for single men to set up a VERIFIED couples profile. Single man sets up on Fab - gets verified by cam - so easy. Mate (single man) joins (falsely) as a couple - gets verified (falsely) by his verified mate - bingo.

We've even had the false couple scenario whereby the single man pretending to be a couple got a female friend to "play along" and do a "fem to fem" phone chat.

Thankfully, we arranged to meet in a cafe bar and when single man turned up making excuses about fem told him where to go. A certain ethnicity do this all the time but won't mention which as the PC brigade will be on us.

This is how easy it is for single men to masquerade as a couple (even as a verified couple) - you are aware and hope we are all wrong but a couple over a year with no verification - just ask yourself - really??

We exchanged lots of text messages but the night before we were due to meet she didn't reply to two messages. Neither did she respond to my text message on the day of the meet. I didn't phone as she lives with her daughter and I knew that being discreet was important to her.

I should have known she wouldn't turn up but I kept my word by being at the meeting point on time and I waited 20mins.
