It depends on what toys you are using too and the mood created.
If for instance you are using a spreader bar and flogger (I may or may not have these  ), then you aren’t going to be gentle....

Agree ~ assertive is a much better way to describe it. Rough conjures all sorts of 'porny roughness' for me.

Mostly no.
