Which do you prefer?
Also, for club owners: what are you thoughts about private parties that fall on the same night as your club night? Surely MOST club owners are okay with that as people who do private parties go to your club too?

We generally visit clubs rather than private parties because there are normally a larger variety of people, there is no smoking inside clubs, the facilities are designed for swinging and you know that the management will be available & sober if there is any sort of issue.
I'd also be surprised if club owners are concerned about private parties in any way, variety is very much an attribute of the swinging lifestyle.

Club nights for me... as a single guy getting an invite to a private party is near impossible anyway!
Certainly not against house meets, but i’ve only ever had a few invites.
Going to clubs with no expectations, but open to chatting with some interesting people is great, and if you get to play, BONUS! |

Yeah I do like clubs too for that very reason, but do like the variety private parties offer in the sense of venues.
I do agree, club owners shouldn't really be concerned about people having private parties, but you know...  |

Ive attended 3 private parties and 3 club night events.
The 3 private events have always been fun and fruitful and have thoroughly enjoyed them.
Club nights have always been a dissapointment for me and have always left without playing. |

Both are entirely hit & miss for so may reasons. Threads like this are so subjective that there is no definitive response in truth.
The factors are wide ranging but a few I would offer are things like: whether the ratio of men/women is right (for you), the music (this is a big deal for me as most clubs play dreadful music aimed at teenagers in my [music snob] view). the type of people in attendance (swingers/kink/fetishists etc) and even things like your own mood make a massive difference.
I've been to many clubs and parties on similar nights, with similar people and wildly different experiences due to the above factors.
Clubs are more hit & miss because they're essentially public events, and private parties slightly less so because you can hand-pick who's invited. On balance I prefer private parties. |

Enjoy both really, we do go to private parties and hold them too on a regular basis for about 18 people. We do find that private parties are more about the social side and definitely more sex as everyone plays. |

I've been in clubs where I've been invited to a private party by someone(on a different night) and the club owners got VERY upset about this. They see it as promoting events outside of theirs and don't take kindly to it.
Personally I think that's bullshit. |

As a couple that enjoy swinging for the fun we can have playing , it would be a private house party every time .
We stopped going to clubs a few years ago when they became way too socially orientated . |

I have been to a couple of private parties and several different club's.
I prefer the variety of people and facilities at a club and the fact you can have more privacy in a club if you prefer that.
I do like a well organised party though |

We'd probably choose a private party over a general club night, but of course it would depend on the type of party, location etc, (oh yeah, and whether we were invited or forced to gatecrash)  |

Both depend entirely on the clientele on any given night. The only issue with a private party would be your safety if the liberty taker 'Feel and grope' type person wanders into a bedroom mid play. At least at a club security can throw them out or ban them. |

I think when people refer to a private party, they mean in a private residence, not held in a club. That's what I was invited to anyway |
