"can we buy a chemical to make it smell better in stead of chlorine "
There's a company called spa monkey who make scents for hot tubs. They can be found on the 4 letter shopping site that begins with an e.

Bromine has less of a smell than chlorine but not as effective. However you shouldnt really be able to smell chlorine too much unless you're over chlorinating it. I run my own hot tub maintainence business so feel free to ask any questions. |

If there is a strong smell of chlorine the level may be too high. Also if you have a cover on the hottub take it off 30 min before use to give any build up time to clear. If its inside a good extraction fan helps. |

Maintain 3-5ppm on the chlorine level, you can get any number of scents for tubs, I use spazazz crystals. They are temporary though, just dump some in ten mins pre tubbing. |
