Its tricky. We try to stay positive but after receiving the same thing over and over we try to give people a warning of what will get them ignored. Though do agree some can go a bit overboard we just dont bother messaging them and move on. Big up on reading profiles, would put you in the minority apparently |

As someone with one of those, here is your answer. Not everyone wants to meet everyone else. Not everyone wants 300 messages a day. Some people prefer being comfortable in what they will or will not do rather than advertise themselves to a big crowd of people. By all means, pass them by. It will be better for you and also for the owner of the profile. |

I know what you mean.
Profiles that bark at you.
Easier, I think, just to ignore or decline any inappropriate messages, than to make all sorts of assertions about what people must do or not to comply with your standards. It often comes across as pompous and sometimes rude.

I think some people probably view profiles that clearly state preferences and what they are looking for as a list of rules. I don't think it's automatically a bad thing depending on how it is worded.
But as others have said if you don't like the profile just move on |

True!
To (almost) quote Bananarama and Fun Boy Three - it ain’t what you say, it’s the way that you say it!
I’m as fussy as they come - but I like to think I put it across in as nice a way as possible! |

We find it's better to say as much in our profile so people know what to expect and decide if they wish to chat, but not aggressive. We do know the ones you mean and could maybe be worded better, but each profile is personal and therefore they should be what works for each person |
