Surely, you would argue that people that look after themselves are therefore more attractive ss a result?
If you work out you will have a better body. If you look after your hair or invest time in make up and looking good... you will naturally look better.
Your perception might be that more attractive people take better care of themself because they know they are attractive: but it's more likey they are more attractive because they take better care of themself, in the first place.
When I say "they" it's a "royal they". I'm fully including myself in the attractive club. Boom |

I agree with this. I also think that Making an effort to look your best, makes a person feel more attractive. So in that regard, there are a lot of attractive people out there. It's about tapping into that confidence within yourself and running with it . |

IMO
people set goals and work out because they want to change something they are maybe not happy with, every one has hang ups.
I would say people work out have beauty regimes and dress nice because they want to look good / feel sexy for them selves.
Personally i love getting dressed up dapper in nice trousers waist coats etc because it makes me feel good about myself and gives me confidence.
I agree with some of the posts here that a person can be drop dead stunning but looks aren’t everything, there has to be a wicked personality to draw you in and keep you interested who wants a pretty picture that doesn’t have a story to tell |

I know plenty of ugly people who spend fortunes on cosmetics, clothing, nails, hair, waxing and beauty treatments.
I'm much more attractive than them and I don't see the point in wasting my money on frivolous things. |

Personally I am not sure - some do for sure - perhaps they see it as something that they need to preserve for as long as possible..if you are used to being considered attractive I guess it is not nice to gradually stop having the effect that this has on others.
This said, I also believe that there are lots of very attractive people who simply let themselves go. I am sure we have all bumped into people after a long passage of time, who are a far cry from the attractive people they once were. |

Quite agree! I’m not a gym fit women I have jiggly bits I’d rathet didn’t jiggle for quite as long as they do when slapped....however I am it short of very fit muscular guys wanting a meet. Not that this is all I’m looking for, but I do seem to attract them.
I am a confident women and I believe that comes across and is what makes me attractive more so than me not being a size 10

I think it's easier for them to make the most of their looks with minimal effort. The rest of us take much longer to look nowhere near as good. I probably use the same effort as someone who's attractive... just doesn't notice!  |

Definitely. My appearance goes in cycles. If I start to notice problems they tend to get worse before they get better. Till eventually I decide to go full scorched earth and take extreme measures. |

I go to the gym alot and eat so much better food than I did as I was over weight by quite abit and needed to lose weight for my health and now have a fairy good body which has given me a lot more confidence but it’s not gonna change the way I look etc but I don’t do it to impress anyone just feel so much better for being fit. |

I wouldn't say that people who know they are attractive take better care of themselves.
I'd say it's more that some people are attractive because they take care of themselves! They do stuff like exercise, eat healthy, wear make-up, take care if their skin etc and through doing that they appear more attractive to everyone else |

I'm not confidently pretty but I look after myself, always dressed nicely, jewellery/hair/make up always on point. I'm pretty confident and bolshy which I guess helps as well |

I don't understand why wearing make up is classed as looking after yourself! Especially with the ridiculous fashions there are at the moment. I do wear make up, although rarely, when I feel like looking a certain way, not because it makes me look better, just different! |

I disagree women that don’t wear make up usually look ill or washed out .. foundation makes your skin look dewy and mascara make your eyes look so much prettier .. |

I often wear mascara as I have blond eyelashes, but never foundation, it makes my skin look horrible! And people only think that if ya don't wear it you look ill because they are too used to seeing you wear it and forgotten what colour your skin actually is. Too many people caked in crap, and what is the deal with looking metallic these days? That is not dewy, it's horrific! I have never had anyone tell me I look ill because people have never seen me with foundation on. |

wouldn’t necessarily agree here there’s nothing wrong with a natural pretty face and some women have great natural complexions |

Humans are attracted to outward signs of health, regardless of if that person is in fact healthy/healthier than the average person.
It's just built in to us, hence why gym bods are generally more appealing |

I generally don't wear foundation but do wear blush and highlighter /bronzer.
I know what you mean about looking different not wearing any make up though |

Wealth generally equals better living conditions, better quality food, less stress etc. All of which contribute to a healthier lifestyle (dependant on the individual) |
