A woman can’t actually receive it as it involved inserting a thin metal rod down a mans cock. I saw it happen and although it’s not for me, the fella in question never seemed to be in any pain and explained afterwards it was an unusual feeling but not a bad one!!!!

This was a definite no from me but my lover "talked me" into it during a meet ... and you know what ... it's not bad!
Don't knock anything till you've tried it. |

Sorry to disagree but women still have a urethra and it can be sounded, although sounding does seem to be much more common with the recipient being male. |

I wouldn't say I was into myself...i personally get no pleasure from it. But I do know how to do it well. |

"Can anyone - I'm guessing perhaps one of those who indulges - tell me (us) why it is called 'sounding'...??"
I believe (but could be wrong), that it's similar to sounding the depth of water from a boat. You put in the weighted rope until it hits bottom and that's the depth. I believe it's like a depth measurement, although it's not for that purpose in a fetish sense. |

Have given but never received. A woman's urethra is a lot shorter than a guys, so more chance of infection, even more so if the sounding rod isn't sterilised.
I get UTI's quite easily, so unfortunately won't risk trying it. |
