So come on everyone..
Are 'sex' clubs just a place to fast track yourself to the latest disease or are they great places to meet like minded liberated people? Does it depend on the club itself or on when you go; daytime midweek versus weekend evening? I'm interested to know your thoughts. Please discuss! |

Seriously one doesn't catch a disease by going to a club. The clubs are not in themselves disease pits.
I've never contracted anything worse than a occasional cold shoulder by attending a club of any description!
You only get STI's from a lack of appropriate self protection during sexual play!  |

All of the clubs I've been to have most definitely not been disease pits OP - and all have placed great emphasis on the importance of safe sex etc
They can however be places of great liberation and lost inhibitions and a whole lot of fun!!  |

I know a lot of people here like them so they can’t all be that bad.
I went to one in London near angel/kings cross because curiosity got the better of me. It stank of piss, everyone stared at me and made unwelcome advances, and I didn’t find anyone attractive.
I’m sure there are better ones and I probably just chose a shit one, but it’s put me off for life. |

I've been to several in Manchester,London,Bradford Liverpool,and never found them to be anything other than well run,clean and extremely health conscious by even supplying condom's free at some establishments, as for the user's they are always well turned out clean and smell wonderful.
I think those that knock them have never actually been to a proper swing club or Adult club. |

Certainly people are full of it, people make it up as they go along !All the clubs I been were clean and I never had unwanted advances ! People are nice and respectful !
As regarding to swinging club Being a sex club , that couldn't be more wrong , I visit chameleons or xtasia and use the facilities many times and sometimes I don't have sex!

Erm...I've been attending SWINGERS clubs (specifically talking about those as I've no experience with any others) for around 10 years. I've never had an STI or picked up any kind of infection from a club or anyone I've met at one!
Most encourage safe sex!
Those of you to have been to one you'd consider a seedy disease pit went to the wrong club!
They're definitely not for everyone as with anything, but a well run club will never be dirty or seedy and anything grim passed on will be from a person, not a club!
If you're intrigued OP, visit one...there's no pressure to play, and if you keep you're clothes on you won't catch the clap eh?  |

Been going to clubs 12 years and never caught anything.
Well I say never, but one time we both came down with a sore throat a few days later.
Coincidence? Probably.
Another time we both saw someone coughing without covering their mouth, some swingers needs to be more responsible |

If you mean Swinger Clubs, they are fabulous places where the normal rules of society don't apply. You can walk around nude, have sex with complete strangers and in groups, be a greedy girl or whatever, and nobody cares. You can watch others fucking and be watched while you are doing it.
Most people don't get to do these sort of things, we are lucky to have places like that where we can have fun sex with no restraint. |

As with anything, surely the experience to be had at swingers clubs is largely influenced by the people who attend, even more so than the venue itself.
If you walked into a club and didn’t like the smell, surely you would
turn around and leave? However, the professionally run clubs all seem to keep a happy clientele, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time. |

How many clubs have you been to op, to have the opinion they are 'disease pits'? I'm guessing none.
If you catch anything, whether at a club or not, that's down to your own stupidity and nothing to do with the club.

Yep...this!
Sex clubs & seedy men's 'entertainment' establishments of yore, have little in common with Lifestyle clubs. There may be one or two 'clubs', cinema clubs which straddle the two.
However for the most part established swinger clubs are nothing like this! We visited our first club just over a year ago and it was our first experience of the lifestyle having never considered anything like it before! We were genuinely terrified that it might live up to the seedy image of the tabloids.
So glad we took that first step because it is nothing like that and has opened a new world of experiences for us! |

Don't get people's stupid attitudes most clubs are very well run and very clean . They are also great places to meet and socialise with likeminded people . Why the hell would you catch a STD from a club and not from meeting people on here ? It's about having safe sex not where you have it |

To be honest, we've been to some clubs once...some are less than clean and pretty seedy...once was enough...
Others we've attended, we return to time and again because they're far from seedy and spotlessly clean. It's a shame that one of them is now off our list due to other issues... |

weve probably visted thirty clubs over the last twenty years out of that there were probably three that were less than satisfactory all of them a long while ago
whilst not totally legal swingers clubs are now tolerated which has allowed the owners to feel more confident to invest in facilities and better standards of decore
in the mid nineties with the news of the world exposing clubs no one could safely lay out the money so clubs tended to be a bit seedy and temporary
having said that it was so mnuch more fun when it had an air of danger about it all and it was much more selective |

I've been to one that was so dirty I wiped my feet on the way out. Cages in the dungeon had litter trays in for the cats that were wandering around, and not clean litter trays either. The mattress smelt so bad I thought someone had died on it.
It's closed down now thankfully. Think health and safety got a few calls about it.
