How do you keep the spark alive in your relationship?
Jump to: Newest in thread
We spend ‘fun’ time together. We go out together a fair bit, usually with friends. But we also have nights out without each other. And we occasionally have a ‘date night’ or we book a hotel room for a night (we have teenagers at home!), nothing expensive, just when we see a good deal - it’s nice to have something to look forward to. We have been known to book a day off work just to have the house to ourselves.
We also kiss and cuddle every day, we love sneaking a snog in when the kids aren’t looking. We do have regular sex, sometimes a quicky, sometimes a ‘session’.
And every now and again we treat ourselves to a new sex toy or lingerie, we tend to play a lot when we have something new to try out.
It’s worked for the last 25 years so hopefully it’ll work for the next 25!

Exactly this, but we're staring at a 30th anniversary.
Honesty about sex and our fantasies has played a huge part in making the spark brighter as well.
If you're a mixture of best friends, lovers, life partners and fuck buddies the spark burns bright. |

Communication, acts of spontaneity, date night, life goals, evolving and healthy finances, though not at the top of the list, having to worry about finances certainly has a knock on effect on almost other areas surrounding the relationship. |
