We spend ‘fun’ time together. We go out together a fair bit, usually with friends. But we also have nights out without each other. And we occasionally have a ‘date night’ or we book a hotel room for a night (we have teenagers at home!), nothing expensive, just when we see a good deal - it’s nice to have something to look forward to. We have been known to book a day off work just to have the house to ourselves.

We also kiss and cuddle every day, we love sneaking a snog in when the kids aren’t looking. We do have regular sex, sometimes a quicky, sometimes a ‘session’.

And every now and again we treat ourselves to a new sex toy or lingerie, we tend to play a lot when we have something new to try out.

It’s worked for the last 25 years so hopefully it’ll work for the next 25!

Exactly this, but we're staring at a 30th anniversary.

Honesty about sex and our fantasies has played a huge part in making the spark brighter as well.

If you're a mixture of best friends, lovers, life partners and fuck buddies the spark burns bright.

Communication, acts of spontaneity, date night, life goals, evolving and healthy finances, though not at the top of the list, having to worry about finances certainly has a knock on effect on almost other areas surrounding the relationship.

Never take each other for granted, it could all be over tomorrow. This mindset has kept us together 22 years and counting.
