My experience- about 95% reliable. Had some who arranged to meet and then disappeared off the face of the earth, only to re-appear a week or month later as if nothing happened. And trying to arrange another meet |

Sounds about right from our experience. |

About 60% reliable. That includes many years of trying to arrange nights with several guys. Fab should issue slippers as lots get cold feet.
Of those that do turn up, I’d say 98% of guys have been great. |

"Are single men reliable in turning up or are they generally a bit dodgy? "
Some are
Some aren't.
In my first weeks on here, I very quickly learnt how to spot the 'players'
The ones who wanted to get off on the chase etc, with no intention of ever meeting.
I think if you use common sense & a set criteria, then avoiding timewasters is easy. |

Hillside desolate |
I find single men very reliable as far as turning up for a one on one goes, try to get more than one at a time is a different story. Also lots fibbing about their age, marital status, smoking etc! |

There’s not one “grouping” of person/people who you could call 100% genuine or reliable on here or in any other walk of life. Each person is individual, some people will waste the time of others, most people will not.
Let’s not keep getting to stuck in this idea of who is and who isn’t.... let’s just enjoy ourselves, and if we come across a time waster or whatever else negative then move along and enjoy the next genuine peeps we encounter |

This seems to be very common place with single guys, cold feet perhaps. |

Just interested op but as you're not looking for single men surely you'd be more interested in the single women-timewaster ratio or is this just a post to have a go at single guys? |

Being here as a single guy looking for female and couples aswell as previously having a couple's profile looking for guys I think I'm well placed to say that the reputation men get on is pretty much unfounded. Never had any problems with guys while part of a couple. Now I'm single I honestly can't say the same about the female and couples |

I think it depends on the type of meet and how much groundwork you do beforehand. I've not encountered a time waster in over 5 years so 100% reliability experienced here... but I don't organise meeting groups of guys for gang bangs which seems to attract less reliability from what people seem to be saying. |

"A friend of mine organized a social meet for shy newbies, 8 single men confirmed but only 1 turned up.
Clearly they were shy!"
So shy they couldn't walk into an empty pub & meet someone ready to be friendly? Shame for the other guys who could have attended in their place. |

Our experience over many years puts the "show up" rate for single guys at about 60%, for couples about 50% and single women much less than that.
Nowadays we stick to a first meet at a club in that way we are not wasting our time completely.
We just wish that if people have a genuine reason not to be able to make it then have the decency to say so with as much notice as possible.
For us a no-show without prior notice equals a block. |

This. They're probably as reliable as any other demographic really, the only difference with couples is that there's two people who could get cold feet or have problems through no fault of their own such as illness etc, which would make them twice as likely to miss out as other demographs logically. |
