"How refreshing. Being 'newbies' I sometimes feel that if we don't have a meet then we may appear as time wasters. Despite the fact that it is on our profile regarding how tentative we are. You are right in saying that making friends with people you may never meet, is a positive thing and should be viewed without any pressure. It is the friendships that we are developing that is giving us the confidence to contemplate a meet...All exciting stuff! "Just been laying in the bath (never good for my sanity) and pondering, in a general pondering way. All in all its been a funny week on the forum, we have had "Moaners and Whingers", "Timewasters and Fakers" and "The Sexy People". Its been ups and downs, some gripes, some yipes, and some full of ...... offal. All in all an average week; the overriding theme "What am I doing wrong?", "Why can't I get meets?", Profile critique continues, meets are arranged, funnies exchanged and in general its all part of this thing called swing (ing). So back to my pondering, I have been lucky, I have had me a few meets, and I guess I have little too gripe about (but you always do Pauly!) when it comes to using the site, but I wonder if some of those that have had a few problems should stop and have a bit of reflection. Some of my meets have been great, and some not so great, but in all I have done, what warms the very cockles of my devil sold soul is the messages I get everyday from the friends I have made. Some of these people I will never meet (probably), distance and attraction (in a physical way) may not be conducive. But hell, I really do enjoy opening my sack in the morning (the mail sack!!) and finding familiar faces in there (weird image.....) So for those of you that are finding things a bit slow, ponder this, yes, it is a swinging site, but you havent had to pay to enter. You have access to people of a similar disposition to yourself, and who knows, you too may have friends on here that you may never meet. But you just signed up to test the water, and already you have new friends. So you might not get laid, big deal, I can travel this country top to bottom after only 2 months of actively using this site, I can potentially share a cup of coffee and a cream bun, with people that are funny, liberal and share a similar interest to me. Thats worth ten cold, emotionless "poor" meets in my book. Time will come when you are turning down meets because you are over run, for now, enjoy the building of friendships and all the warm feelings that brings. I have chatted to and met some very friendly,open minded and interesting people.
If i dont ever get a full on sexy meet from this site i will still be happy because of the forum
