It always makes me smile with the fake adorations and interest in the messages I receive.
Then if I send a polite no, I suddenly turn into the ugliest slut in town...
It's a miracle......
Some guys need to go to charm school. |

im never sure if its down to them taking their glasses off or putting them on, but something seems to change drastically within 30 seconds of a 'no thank you' |

We went from 'Your pics and profile are amazing' to an 'Old gay faggot and ugly fat slut' by the time I'd made a cuppa after declining their original offer. One of the reasons we don't always reply now even to a well written message if it's clear they've not read our profile. |

I would prefer a polite no thank you to no reply, however I understand that women and couples get a lot of messages and don't have time to reply always.
Also appreciate that I won't appeal to many so I always reply to a no thanks by saying thanks for the honesty, and hope you find what you are looking for. |

Today I got called a desperate pensioner... Apparently I didn't reply to his message a week ago.
I replied to the one he sent today but may have used big words so he's probably still working it out. |

As threads like this show it's not just about the volume of messages some ladies get that means they don't reply. It's about the abuse too. So thank the abusive men for the lack of replies. |

It’s not just men you know although I’m sure they do it all the more just by sheer volume of numbers. I once, and yes I once received a message, reued to a local lady with a polite no thanks and she replied with “you’re an ugly bastard anyway”. |

It's us,own fault for opening your door to the filth and weirdos that are too tight for a brass so they message anything breathing on here and don't like a no so hurl insults.. the best women I find look themselves for somthing they like ,adjust the filters accordingly then change them back... it's easy |

In all my years on here I have never received an abusive message from a female. Mainly men and a few couples. |

I agree, men’s insults are often silly, playground lines. Laughable, really.
The worst, most upsetting message I’ve ever received was from a woman.
Not an instinctive insult, but a carefully calculated message, cleverly phrased to make me feel inferior and awful. And I did. For weeks.
First message. Out of the blue. The hatred someone can muster toward a stranger is mind-blowing. |

I've had a few like that. I once had a reply to a 'polite not for us' message, which was so vile and personal, that it left me really shaken for a while...it was horrible.
It's a sad fact that abuse like that has changed the way I interact with people on here, but if people are polite when they message us, I'll still always respond the same way. The ones who aren't, get deleted and blocked to minimise the risk of more abuse.

You are damned if you do and damned if you don’t as a female on here lol.
If you replying to a guy saying a polite, thank you but no thank you. You get replied with abuse, and if you don’t reply then you are still in the wrong. |

AESOP'S FABLES
The Fox and the Sour Grapes:
"Driven by hunger, a fox tried to reach some grapes hanging high on the vine but was unable to, although he leaped with all his strength.
As he went away, the fox remarked 'Oh, you aren't even ripe yet! I don't need any sour grapes.'
People who speak disparagingly of things that they cannot attain would do well to apply this story to themselves."
So if anyone didn't know, this is where the phrase 'sour grapes' originated from. |

And even if you dont receive a message to respond to you can still get abuse. Especially if you don't meet single men (and yes I could put filters on but I go to clubs and socials so I do correspond with those going). |

My partner got this last week a polite No , next thing is a reply with Why would I have sex with you as your Ugly. Felt bad for my partner to be honest, but then again if she'd said yes think the response would have been different, if you can't handle polite rejection then leave the site !! |

"I had a 'well with that attitude you must be a fuckwit with no friends' last night. I mean I was polite so didn't really deserve that response.

There's just no need to send a reply like that...pathetic.
At least you let it just go over your head which makes you a much better person |

Either that or the maturity levels reduce to what is their norm and even though they usually get deleted they can’t handle a polite no thank you.
Oh to find common decency and maturity in one neat package |

Really? Mine says I'm only looking for women and I get 10-15 messages a day from guys... And possibly a couple a week from guys obviously pretending to be women... |
