OK, so I've had this idea in my head for a long time, and I'm just trying to gauge if there is any interest in it?
I've chatted and got to know a few people who have told me their biggest problem is finding a safe place to dress. I really feel for anyone who struggles to be themselves, and would love the opportunity to help out, as well as get to know people.
My thought is to hold an event in my home specifically for the purpose of providing a place for people to dress and get ready for a night out. This would be a social event only!!!
I'd check with local venues for policies of what to do with other customers who might harass attendees (ie-do they promote a safe environment) before recommending anywhere.
I am NOT close to Central London, but there are a fair few places to go in Richmond and a couple near my flat.
There would be a small charge (£10 or so?) for the event only to cover the cost of drinks and cleanup, if necessary.
No random invites, I'd have to chat a while before anyone is invited in, and the group would be small.
So my question is: would this type of event be of any use to anyone, is there any interest? |

I do similar in the south west and look after their clothes etc and help them dress. Help with makeup and what clothes to buy. Started off helping the odd friend then it went a bit wild with over 20 gals xx |
