People say age is just a number but it matters to some.. once I met a lady and she was 35 as per her profile but when we met she said she is 43..
What do you do? Has it happened to you? |

Ok so you met her did she look as good as you imagined or was she a visual disappointment? Personally I would have been delighted that she turned up at all |

If I met someone who was older than what their profile said it wouldn't bother me.
If I met someone I thought was mid to late 20'S and they turned out to be much younger, 20-22 I wouldn't go through with it as it's way too close to my daughters age and I'd be old enough to be their dad, that creeps me out. |

It's always a surprise to me when I meet someone who is the age on thier profile! Few and far between are 100% honest. My weakness for older men means I'm usually more than happy. So it's not just the women. Physically I'm 41, mentally - questionable |

Some people do this, including showing a home town that is some miles away, to deter people they may know or prevent some harassment. It will depend on their motivation for honesty above being discovered etc, as some employers wouldn't take kindly to having a profile here.
People also give alternative facts in real life, so you need to decide whether you are limited to those who are official documents carrying or more relaxed about things if it gets satisfaction. As long as someone is legal age, it can be an easy decision, based on needs, as long as probably not entering a long term relationship. |

As long as they look like the person in the pictures we’ve seen and look the same age as in the pictures what’s to worry you fancied them in there pics who cares if there 33 or 43 or whatever it’s only an age at the end of the day it’s more down to the connection |

I am not overly bothered by age, but I have had bad experience with guys who are below 30. They seem to have all the talk, but not the walk. I prefer not to meet people who are much older either.
My age is right on my profile, though I definitely don't look or feel 40... |

Yes I’ve met a man who lies about his age. We got on really well so I didn’t say anything. It was at least 10 years out. He wasn’t a grumpy old man so I let him off lol
As it happens My age is 2 years out. |

I had a social meet on my single profile years ago.
He said he was mid 30s,he was at least early 50s.The meet went no further, age does matter to me and is deffo more than a number.
It was the lying i hated, obvs thought i wouldn't notice.
