I'm pretty tame in my photos on here. However I don't know if that's because I'm not brave and confident or if its because an intimate pic seems a little awkward for me.
Having taken one, even that feels a little odd for me.
It seems men can upload as naughty a photo as they wish and no one bats an eye however when women do inboxes explode and people comment. Yet it's not exactly rare!

I’m my opinion there isn’t double standards it’s down to the individual...women and men can post what they like in my eyes, I don’t think there’s a difference. But I do get where u are coming from...I fink some people view women’s parts a lot more private than men’s causing a stigma. |

It's not a double standard, it is just a factor of the site.
More men than women means that everytime a new photo is uploaded of a woman, it gets thousands of views.
You only have to look at the disparity in the numbers in the hot photos to see that
Pretty average woman 1500-2000 fabs in 12 hours

Yeah but you must have had the "what's a nice girl like you doing on a site like this?" comments? It's all part of the same attitude that's ingrained. My mum once told me that her sex education at school was "nice girls don't". We're still coming away from that way of thinking, I think. |

If a woman logs in, with no pictures and a profile which says "will fill in later" her inbox will explode.
Men are lucky to get a 1st message, or a reply, even a negative one. It does happen, so we appreciate it when it does. |

Exactly. "What man would ignore the chance to comment. .." women either don't feel the need or don't feel they are able to. It's far less common that a woman will comment. Not sure how much is double standards and how much is down to women's differing approach though. I think there's a bit of both. |

Some men do have that attitude. I also imagine some women also have the same attitude.
However, let’s look from a different angle. How many times do we see women implying men have to jump through hoops to prove they are good enough? Sex is then given as a rare reward to the man and he should be eternally grateful. Women are effectively putting a 'price' on sex and turning it into a commodity to be bartered with. If the commodity is no longer exclusive, it becomes devalued.
This isn’t just a fab phenomenon, but across the spectrum. |
