This inevitably means that when we meet new people that have very high expectations, which puts us under enormous pressure to deliver something spectacular

Or met them and their photos are clearly years out of date and they look nothing like their pic so much so you don't recognise them.

You have to consider that a meet in person verification comes after someone has either found a profile attractive or found a person attractive enough to talk to and get their fab username in a club or whatever so it is always going to be skewed towards that perspective. I have no verifications from people who haven't found me attractive (apart from social ones), because they simply didn't want to meet me in the first place. |

I (he) like the verification process as it doesn't just highlight the good points but sometimes inadvertently highlights the dubious. If a certain profile has these ott veris we view them as that, ott, which then leads to me thinking, why? Are the maybe asking for such veris or is the verifier just following suit, who knows. It's going to raise questions, suspicion and maybe some doubt either way but guarantees our pre meet discussions will be thorough before we're satisfied to meeting, they may not not want to meet us by then either. |

I wonder whether there are people or profiles on Fab set up with the express intention of providing veris as favours.
We've encountered the odd discrepancy between what a veri states and the reality.
And no, this isn't eye-of-the-beholder stuff. When a very states tall, dark and handsome but they're short and blond you gotta wonder about the veri. |

When i verify people, providing i have liked them, i try to verify in a positive way, so do praise them and emphasise what is good about them. I try to make it indidvidual and non generic too. Dont always get the same in return ....., perhaps they are being honest too  |

Yea but if the person verifying them was shorter than they are then they were tall to them at least, weren’t they?
Also never heard of hair dye or wigs?
I’m not saying they’re aren’t people givemg our bogus veris. After making hot pics I had to report several fake veris I received from desperate blokes trying to get my attention so it does happen. Then you get the I’ll but your a site supporter pass in exchange for a veri I’ve received (and not taken up just reported) in the past to consider also
But some things can be easily explained. I have loads of different hairstyles in my pics but they’re all wigs from my burlesque shows, the short brunette bob ones are my actual hair |

Ah the verification thing again !
It often depends on when the veri was written as to what it may say . Those who write them while still in the glow of the meet often go over the top , and that’s understandable . Others who wait a day or two often write a less graphic and somewhat understated veri which is also understandable .
Very rarely have we used a veri to ascertain the attractiveness of a potential meet , since this iis entirely subjective . We may get a general gist of the potential playmates personality , willingness to explore , and to a degree their sexual prowess from veris , but again , we don’t have high expectations based on any of the info in veris .
We primarily use them as a gauge as to whether the person is real and likely to turn up , and that’s about it really . |

Have you followed up the verifications by cross referencing with other spices of information to evaluate their accuracy? Or perhaps you have met a number of people whose verifications have not matched your assessment of them?
In my experience verifications give one extra piece of information by which to build a picture of someone...which is always useful.
In your case of course you are deliberately evasive; hiding your profile and describing your location as 'Narnia" which is not hugely helpful!
This suggests to me that you are probably a single-male fantasist |
