As I'm a firm believer that no one should be alone at xmas, thought I'd start a group for anyone who's going to be alone this Christmas. Post here if you are, maybe there's someone near you that can keep you company or at least chat to.
If not, merry Christmas y'all! |

"Yup alone and bitter here lol, aren’t ex’s wonderful things x merry Xmas everyone x"
Yes, yes they are. I want mine back but can't. Stuck here alone with my two dogs who can't understand or talk back.
Btw you can be in a busy pub and still be alone. So Merry Christmas to you all and hopefully everyone feels a little less alone than they did. |

I'm the same and have a big family and friends to party with on the eve. You're right though it is better to spend it as a couple! Merry Christmas! Hopefully Santa's gonna bring you guys some women to chat to |

Was just about to start a thread along these lines. I'll be alone due to work commitments this Christmas. But can offer anyone a half decent conversation to anyone who needs it.
Merry Christmas everyone. |

What a lovely thought OP.
It's almost a Xmas tradition now for me to spend the day by myself and something always seems to go amiss. This year the turkey has gone off! lol
My lovely neighbours have come to my rescue though and will be carving a slice or three off theirs for me
Alone doesn't have to mean lonely but this year is particularly sad as it's the first one since my mum passed away
Next year has got to be better...right?

I love my christmasses on my own - sadly this year, my brother is here spoiling my peace.
Always worth remembering that not everyone who is alone is lonely & some people are surrounded by others yet still feel lonely.
Either way, it’s not a great time of year for lots of us, so it’s a nice touch OP xx |

I'm alone here but it does get easier, this is my third year of Christmas alone and I'm getting used to it. Indulging in a few treats and some shameless TV binging.
Christmas is what you make it I guess, I'd rather do this than be surrounded with people that I don't want to be around |

"Why should I go out of my way to spend time with people I never hear from any other time of the year?
Seems pointless"
I dunno. Each to their own chap.
I personally love having the excuse to get together with friends and family to celebrate something I don't really believe in. But that's me and my situation is probably different. |
