I know people want privacy and all but how are we expected to find local people if they dont tell the truth as to what area they from...
we saw a profile that said from sheffield, only to find out theyre from leicester...
so annoying... |

How far from Sheffield is Leicester then? We live in a village 10 miles away from the nearest city which we say we're from which we don't thinks that bad and people have a chance of knowing where it is, K&T xx xx |

10 miles is not bad, but liecester is 2hr drive from us and if we gotta travel home cos the meet has not gone so well then its along way...
we dont mind if people say in nxt city, it just gives us an idea of their locality...
we dont mind travelling for right people... |

We understand what you mean about local, if you can't play at home you don't want to be driving miles n miles. For an initial meet, a drink and a chat, we tend to meet about halfway and if we all click and want to play we'll go a lot further

I guess people think that where they live wont have many people so they wont get any replies or offers. If they put somewhere more popular that they will attract a lot more offers etc.

Ours was basically 2 reasons, 1) We live in a small village so throws people we know off the scent lol 2) No 1 would know where our village is LOL

Samething here. Putting name of the village I live in would make it easier to identify who I am, plus anyone more than 30 minutes away wouldn't contact/reply because they'd have no idea where it is.
Then again Grimsby isn't much better. I've had someone in Doncaster tell me its too far, and it's barely an hours drive  |

I have just done a map search for the swindon area and have seen profiles in there for places like Paignton and torbay area ??
No wonder i find it hard to get a s*** LOL xxx |

yes i think the admin could update the locations...
im in yorkshire not east midlands...
if the catergory was yorkshire then that would be so much more helpful... |

One of the problems is that the map areas on here are simply too big. I live in Sheffield, which is East Midlands on here. I do a search for "local" profiles and it brings up Ipswich, which is a 400 mile round trip !!
Could the maps not have smaller areas ? |
