After speaking for weeks and finally arranging a social she never turned up.
I waited and waited like a idiot and went back home.
Her excuse was she got pulled over by the police for speeding and was in the police cells.
I replied with= I didn't know they threw you in the police cells for speeding and how lovely of them for letting you take your phone in the cell with you to contact me.
She blocked me then on her phone and on here lol x |

I was on my way to a meet once having spent a small fortune on an outfit, got a text about an hour into the journey to say don't bother, manners cost nothing. Apparently I hadn't replied to a text message while I was on a train. I genuinely got off at the next station and headed home in tears. Only due to what I'd spent on what seemed like a genuine couple. I deleted my account after it. |

I had a guy I was texting suddenly pretend to be a work mate that discovered this phone at work and threateningly warned me off saying his friend was married with kids...i answered that his mate had told me previous that he fancied one of his male collegues-you?,and that he had once jacked off onto the arse of the guys overalls....i waited but never heard from that number again. |

When I used to do Guestlist s for events,Without fail every party would have at least a multitude of some major family disaster or parents on death beds .
I decided for the sake of human preservation and my sanity best not have guestlist anymore but a Word from the wise For those that use these unnecessary excuses, its not always a great idea to show an explicit verification the same time you was attending ypur uncle Billy s last rights !!

Can't say the best as I'd be risking a ban so I'll pick at random .. "A hotel? Don't you want to take me somewhere NICE for coffee" then cancelled. The hotel in question was 5star £120 a night, coffee is £6.00 a time. Not nice? Don't know what she was used to, well I do but we won't go there |

I've had my fair share. Mostly work related or family illness.
Fair enough as these things can happen. I've had to cancel because of child illness. As for work related... Don't arrange to meet if it's a possibility that you will need to work!!
Luckily I've never had someone cancel on me and then display a veri or put up a meet request. That in my book is completely wrong and just goes to show that you had a lucky escape! |

We once had a guy who we were chatting to on here for a while, organised a meet at ours (very rare thing), everything seemed like it was going to plan, both getting very excited. Messaged saying we're ready.... And he replied saying 'nah, footie's on telly I'm staying at home'
Hence why we like to meet at clubs now! |

I've actually had this, ok wasn't a meet, but my kids were late for school!
The only reasons I've been given are always work related.
I've also had to cancel a couple due to work, ending up covering shifts when folk off sick. |

Our funniest one was a guy actually got to our house, He was quite nice looking, got undressed was having his Willy sucked and then his phone went.
Immediately after he actually made a feeble excuse saying he'd left some wine out in the car and wanted to go and get it. We said no no no, it's OK we have plenty but he insisted. We looked at each other as he went out the door and said " he's not coming back is he ???", sure enough he drove off. We're not that bad are we, we thought LOL
To restore our faith we got a text asking if he could come back so obviously it wasn't our looks that had put him off
He said his uncle was ill in hospital and he had to visit him. Needless to say we thought it was much more likely that his wife had texted him and asked him if he would be home for tea LOL. |

On my single profile,i arranged a meet on the sat night,we had been texting a good while before this.
His messages started tailing off and by Fri he had cancelled, saying he had to have his 2 kids sat .
Thats fair enough, life comes first. Then he displayed a new veri sunday .Hate that and wish he had just said he got a bettee offer.

I suspect this is a common one....
There are many single guys just using the site as a dating tool like all the other sites /apps out there. They want to meet singles primarily, but a couple will do if they can't find a single. So they arrange a meet with a couple and if a better offer from a single comes along in the meantime, they cancel or even worse go AWOL. |

Worst ever cancel. Meeting in pub we arrived early bottle of wine and chillin like we do and thinking pub is quite tonight. NO show at given time or anything for a hr so still enjoying our own time 10 people in pub then get a message sorry didn’t see you in pub was very busy where you there. Alan’s reply was get a life that said we did use location to find a nice guy so was a nice evening. |

Had one that cancelled a few years ago last minute after a good social the week before as he had got back with his partner. I was like that’s so cool dude and kudos for not still trying to do me!
Had 1 no show but I was with a ex and we had a feeling it would be a no show so sat in starbucks drinking coffee and went shopping to IKEA instead
I’ve pulled out when something doesn’t seem right or if the painters have turned up |

So many mates just ‘turn up’ when kicked out, surprised me how they have the room for them, generally they can’t accommodate |

First time - boss keeping him back, so couldn't make it.
Second time - nan was rushed to hospital.
Third time - repeat of the second time.
All were a few hours before we were due to meet. Most of us work, so I get the first one. Second one - I gave him the benefit of the doubt, as would be an awful lie. Third time - I didn't even bother getting ready, as expected some sort of cowpoo excuse |

Although in theory he DID turn up for the actual meet, this one wins the prize in my eyes.
Purely because at the time of him suddenly having to dash off his pride and joy had a knowledgeable pair of lips around it, sucking away...
I mean what kind of utter weapon would leave in that situation...? |

I was once told by a local lady that she couldn't meet me because, and I quote!
"You're too my type and I know I'd end up falling for you"
Which is probably the most flattering thing she could have said and made me increadibly wary of how truthful it was, she's gorgeous too so it didn't do my ego any harm. Probably the nicest "thanks but no thanks" I've ever received |

From another site: my drains have burst and my cellar is full of sewage, followed by several graphic descriptions of the cleaning process. He didn't actually cancel, just delayed the meet, but never turned up at the rearranged time (and was never going to).
Always good to know someone would literally shovel shit rather than meet me. |

Went to a club with a fella I had met at an organised social. As soon as we got in the club he complained he had cut his finger and needed to get a plaster. Despite me looking at his finger and saying....where is the cut? (There was none). They will have plasters behind the bar he went to fetch a plaster......still waiting for him to come back. That was about 3 months ago. Obviously a long trek to his car!! |

Perhaps gangrene set in on the journey to the bar
Or he bottled it.

Text received at 7:15pm while we were on our way to a meet for 7:30pm. Had got ready and decided as it was local, leave at 7:10pm Just got through the town and received the text.
A few weeks later they received a verification from another couple and when we looked at their profile, the local couple had verified them on the night we should have met!

Arranged a meet with a guy, he was meeting friends prior to our meeting. Waited, no show. Ok, fair enough.
Next morning no apology, just "on my way to meet you last night, my friend had a seizure in the taxi"
Didn't bother replying, just hoped that it wasn't a crap excuse and he wasn't so low as to use someone having a seizure |

I had to give an excuse once, that seemed fake but it wasn’t, I had a lunchtime meet planned, just as I’m about to get up to leave my company director asked for an hour of my time, which he had never done before, so couldn’t say no. Im still gutted that I missed that meet, and to be fair we are still chatting and trying to organise things.
But I do t think me cancelling helped my chances ?? |

One couple I was travelling to (about an hour's drive) rang me while I was en route and asked me to purchase and deliver their shopping from a supermarket near to their home!
I had to pay for it then they admitted they'd not reimburse me in any way, so I refused to get their shopping and stick to meet only.
They cancelled out and branded me a time waster!

On the morning of the meet, he told us he didn't have any legs below the knee caps. So we asked why didn't his girlfriend come and explain. He said they've just split up that morning, he's really upset, but he's going to find another girlfriend to do this again.
One guy cancelled on the morning because he was going to go to the football instead.
One lady cancelled cos her mum died. She told another site swinger the same excuse, a month earlier. |

Forgot about one I had where I almost cancelled a few years ago. Firstly I slipped in the bath and hurt myself
So I text to say I would be late - it was only for a coffee social. Then I got to the end of my street and my car broke down. I was blocking the road and people had to try and get me moving again which there was no luck so had to call the guy. He seemed doubtful so I told him to come and wait with me for the AA! He did and sat in my car - weirdest social I ever had! |

I kept getting cancelled by a girl who kept contacting me convincing me that she was genuinely interested but had a busy life which I understood at first but then the excuses became tedious. I did a quick search on her and it turned out she was cancelling our meets because she's a fulltime prostitute that according to her clients veri's were on the same dates our meets were planned. Needless to say we don't speak anymore but when I did ask her why she did it this was her response - "f*** you you insecure little b**** no wonder no one wants to meet you" . If I can just add to that I've had 6 veri's in the 6 weeks I've been here which if I'm honest isn't too bad |

Met a guy for a social and it went really.
He wanted to meet again later that week, but I couldn't on those dates due to work & children.
Arranged to meet the week after, daily messages then an hour before, he cancels.
Said he'd met someone, had been seeing her all week & wanted a proper relationship with her & was leaving Fabs.
He's still here 5months later & views my profile, often several times everyday.
Just odd?

What a brass neck, Canny even get there own shopping the lazy sods.
Then had the cheek to brand you a timewaster
And cancelled on you because you wouldn’t get them shopping which they were unwilling to re-compensate you. |
