Ok, so i'm curious. Fab seems to be a great place for trans and anyone else for that matter for hookups and swinging however...
When it comes to generally dating you rarely see trans girls on vanilla dating sites, at least nowhere near the % you get on here so i'm just wondering why this is?
Is it because fab and other kinkier sites tend to be more accepting? Maybe it's just that TVs/CDs only care about sex! but I highly doubt thats the case...

I love this question as I have TS friends (at various stages of their transformations) and I always think they get a very bad rep when it comes to dating, which is such a shame!!
But to hazard a guess at your question, I think it’s the former. It’s fab being more accepting and probably comes with less abusive comments and rude messages than it’d be on a vanilla dating site. |

Just not worth it, I’ve tried POF got absolutely no interest at all. Put myself on ‘Meet today’ here and Fabguys I got quite a few messages.

There used to be a good site called "Transdates" that was for dating rather than sex. The current Transdates is nothing more than a money making sex site.
There is a niche market for trans dating, bear in mind the majority of trans are already married/attached often with the other half not knowing about the trans side or if they do not about the meeting side for sex. |

I suspect on most dating sites people just register as male or female and the only disclose information when required (if it's ever required) since there's not really any other option and there's no legal requirement to disclose what their genitals look like. |

I always find the girl next door look much more attractive than an over done woman anyway. Where I live you can always spot a TS as most work it like they're in London fashion week. |

Most girls who fully transition see themselves as female and would like to be treat that way. I know lots of girls on Facebook who dress normally I don't know of any that have transitioned and go for the drag look. |

As a guy whos with now with a transgender gf and supporting her on her journey to fully female. We didnt meet on here but just in real life. She wouldnt be on a site like this but does have friends that have even post op each to there own really xx |

I'd also hazard a guess that there are a lot of trans girls on vanilla site that just don't disclose it. Fab has the extra bit of safety associated with people who already strayed away from the "social norms". |

On a dating site that gives only the options of Male or Female, a TV,CD,TG or pre op TS may be putting themselves in an awkward position if they listed themselves as the gender with which they identify.They may come into contact with people who are less concerned with identity than physicality. Quite likely a person in one of those positions would avoid those sort of sites that seem less inclusive.
A post op person is less likely to face that sort of dilemma and,on a dating site, is maybe more likely to let a relationship develop before discussing their past,if they ever do.It's not necessarily something that needs to be mentioned on a profile.

So casual sex hook up sites like

oestrogen and progesterone also fuel sexual desire (among other functions). So,testosterone (which is produced in both males and females) is not the only reason for people having sexual desires. |

Transvestites and Cross-Dressers are men who dress. Transexual or Transgender are more likely to have had medical treatment (hormone therapy) and possibly surgery and live full time as female.
These are quite big differences between as CD/TV and TS/TG and what they are looking for from a site like this.
There are websites like TVChix which is more of a Female Trans Community support website. There are "admirers" there too (mostly cis-males). Many girls report they've met their lifelong partners there. |

I think most people, trans included, just go about their lives in a manner that doesn't cause too much attention or possible hassle. As such, it's easy for most people to be fairly indistinct from the masses around them. People find niches that they settle fairly comfortable within. Others with a similar mindset may flock to similar niches - and there are also many who don't specifically hang out overtly looking for relationships or sex but find it anyway. They may be within their archery or other sphere of interest.
Fab has had a reasonably good environment for trans people, so reputation gets shared and people stick around - the opposite happens for the dire environments.
I've always found partners when I'm least expecting to and have generally loved my time when single, as well as attached - and never urgently wanted the opposite place. I think there are millions of people who are comfortable as they are and so can remain pretty invisible |

Oh this one is very real. A quick search also revealed her various prostitute profiles, her attitude was "so what". Her clients were the reason she was cancelling our meets as the veri dates all matched. When I asked her about it this is what I got - "F**K off you insecure little B***H for CH***T's sake nobody wants to meet you" before blocking me. Although it shocked me because of how well we got on it's lucky she said that in a way because she reminded me what a lucky escape I had. Thankfully it has not put me off TVs quite the opposite in fact and as for nobody wanting to meet me I've had 6 verifications in the 6 weeks I've been here which I don't think is too bad if I'm honest. Another take on this,and something that only really occurred to me last night.
I was sitting in a quiet pub and I couldn't help overhearing the couple sat on the next table. It was obvious to me that it was their first date,that they had never met and had found each other online. The ladies boredom was almost palpable as the is guy wittered on about his job in IT,his pension plan and his plans to build a house when his divorce come through and he can sell up. She was putting up a valiant effort,nodding,smiling and murmuring occasionally but it was clear that she just wanted to get the hell out of there.
My point is that dating,as in actual dating, can be a long, drawn out, tedious business and all for what? To get back into yet another relationship after one has collapsed?
This site ,and the general ethos and attitude of it, can be a very good compromise between loneliness,sex starvation, emptiness and playing the 'dating game',getting into a relationship just for the sake of being in a relationship.
Why would trans people be any different? TVs and CDs quite clearly like to dress up and a bit of pzazz in their lives, TS people have undergone massive changes. Not to just then settle down by the cosy fire side with I.T.,pension plan man.
We all need a little sparkle in our lives and FAB is a better place to find it than Ok,Cupid. In my opinion. |

I get what you're saying there are many however I'm not naive this one was real she regularly sent me undressed photo's proving she was born a male and she never tried to hide that. She was genuinely cancelling our meets to meet 'clients' which on the other hand was something she did hide |

Generally, the swinging and bdsm scenes are much more accepting. I'm a trans woman myself, and I find that normal dating sites are a minefield of bigotry and misconception. I never advertise the fact thst I wasn't born female until we have talked a while and still run the risk of them running for the hills or just quietly disappearing, because the grass is greener elsewhere |

I like this site there's a lotta truly accepting beautiful people here, especially in the forums. In RL I gravitate towards safe accepting places like the gay bars and clubs on societies fringe so when I'm online I want the same.

I am transgender female I am in the process of my transition but it takes years to get the op which I am waiting for I am on hormones so the rest of me is already on the way |

I guess it depends from person to person and from surgeon to surgeon. I've heard some absolute horror stories.
It makes me wonder if the regrets some people have are regrets over the decision to undergo surgery or about the actual out come of the surgery itself. |

I have a friend who had to go back for additional surgery because they messed up first time; not sure of the precise details but it certainly didn't stop her from enjoying herself with toys! She said her bullet made her cum every time, but she did say she has more clitoral sensitivity than vaginal.

one even paid to have her voice box altered and Adams apple removed .that was a disaster .she sound more manly after the op .god knows what they did to her . she couldnt speak for four months and it left a bad scar as well

TBH. I've only ever heard of two people who had a bad outcome and in both cases is was due to complications with their recovery.
I never spoke to or heard from anyone who regretted the actual decision to proceed.
If there are any then that may be a failure of the screening process but from what I know of psych drs in that field, they are pretty rigorous in vetting.If anyone got through who wasn't really ready, they must have been a damn good actor. |

It is not as simple as turning up and waving the cash.
The reason I mention Iran is because it is second only to Thailand in the number of GRS operations performed.Although some of those are performed forcibly,I have read.

I’ve only met her post surgery but I’m told she was always a very confident person who could be very dramatic.

What's the point?
1. The general public & that includes people on FAB, think that Cd/Tv is the same as Ts.
2. Many Cd's/Tv's call themselves Ts, just because...
In other words it wouldn't make things any clearer for folk wishing to meet only a Cd/Tv or only a Ts.
To blur it further, most Ts look like trans variant persons. ie. they are superficially indistinguishable from a Cd/Tv.
I keep telling my very blokey boyfriend that I like other Ts. He replies: "Great, if I wear a dress, would that count?"
