Add to this the fact that spreading HIV through vaginal sex is near impossible. The lack of sex education in a so called sex site is as tragic as it is comical.

Bareback sex is not like playing russian roulette and is pretty common if you have even remote experience in the swinging scene. The problem is the forum gathers all the full of shit Fabbers who spend more time talking about swinging rather than doing it and often have experiences and expectations of swinging which dont correlate with the rest of the site in any way.

This is probably one of the best posts I’ve read in recent months . Finally someone has hit the nail on the head , and actually said exactly what I’ve been thinking for some time now .

The subject matter , bb sex is kind of irrelevant as to why , but the statements about the forum gathering the talkers , and that what gets said by them bears no relation to the rest of the site is spot on .

Oh and the fact that bb sex is nothing like Russian roulette is 100% correct too . A childish comparison at best . Get a grip , it’s way more common than you think , and although it carries a risk , so does unprotected oral , and pretty much everyone is happy to say they do that .

She does as pleases, but she knows if she does, I won't have sex bb with her for atleast 6 months and 3 months safe.

Last time we was at a club she let a guy fuck her bb(didn't cum apparently), without me knowing(chlorine in eyes couldn't see anything). Now she has too wait and get tested before I'll romp her.

Luckily we have a gf, so I don't go without

FINALLY a sensible post. Yes BB sex has some finite risks but the risks are quite small. I won't say it's impossible to get HIV from vaginal sex but it's much LESS likely than anal sex. The "russian roulette" comparison is so daft and stupid it's not even worth giving any lip. At the end of the day BB sex is a CHOICE. Like every choice in life there are pros and cons. I personally love BB sex and get tested every month and am still standing in one piece.

I agree with some of your points, but to say that contracting HIV through unprotected vaginal is nearly impossible is simply not true. Granted, its easier for a woman to pick it up through bb than a man. Vaginal membranes are more susceptible to injury (think rough sex) which can create entry points for the transmission. This can occur for us gents if we suffer a small cut in the penis, particularly for uncircumcised individuals. True, unprotected anal is much riskier, but vaginal is not safe, especially for the lady.

In the end though, people are free to do what they will in the end.

Why do people always focus on the AIDS aspect anyway. I wouldn't want to have unprotected sex early in a relationship because of the risk of herpes or some other more cureable but nevertheless itchy/scratchy incident.

I've been on rugby teams enough that pretty much every one I know - and yes me included - has had a C-Pac need at some point. Aids isn't why testing or wrapping is important. At least not to me.

Then again my wife lives 5000 miles away so I'm not that bothered what she does these days

Don't combat lack of sex education with lack of sex education. I would urge people to get the facts from a reputable source. Then make your own decision about your own body. And leave everyone else to make theirs"

Here is your reputable source:

"A meta-analysis of 10 studies exploring the risk of transmission through vaginal sex was published in 2009.4 It estimated the risk of HIV transmission through receptive vaginal sex (receiving the penis in the vagina) to be 0.08% (equivalent to 1 transmission per 1,250 exposures).

A meta-analysis of three studies exploring the risk from insertive vaginal sex (inserting the penis into the vagina) was estimated to be 0.04% (equivalent to 1 transmission per 2,500 exposures).4"

http://www.catie.ca/en/pif/summer-2012/putting-number-it-risk-exposure-hiv

And...

https://www.aidsmap.com/Vaginal-intercourse/page/1323532/

"A meta-analysis of studies of heterosexual HIV transmission found that, in high-income countries prior to the introduction of combination therapy, the risk per sexual act was 0.04% if the female partner was HIV-positive, and 0.08% when the male partner was HIV-positive. However, these rates were considerably higher in lower-income countries, if the source partner was in either the very early or the late stage of HIV infection, or if one partner had genital ulcer disease.2"

LOL, yes. 0.04% is pretty much near impossible in layman terms. Its pretty much a medical lingo for "If you come to your doctor and claim that you caught HIV from vaginal sex with a woman whilst claiming to be heterosexual, its obvious you're full of shit".

As said, a lot of you really have no idea what you're talking about and most of what you know about sex is second hand information gathered from round the pub.

A meta-analysis of three studies exploring the risk from insertive vaginal sex (inserting the penis into the vagina) was estimated to be 0.04% (equivalent to 1 transmission per 2,500 exposures).4

And...

https://www.aidsmap.com/Vaginal-intercourse/page/1323532/

A meta-analysis of studies of heterosexual HIV transmission found that, in high-income countries prior to the introduction of combination therapy, the risk per sexual act was 0.04% if the female partner was HIV-positive, and 0.08% when the male partner was HIV-positive. However, these rates were considerably higher in lower-income countries, if the source partner was in either the very early or the late stage of HIV infection, or if one partner had genital ulcer disease.2

Interesting to see a woman as a 'reciever' has greater odds than a man as an 'inserter' in that research. By greater I mean more chance

Women have always had greater susceptibility to infection from sexual contact. Which, by reading the forums, you would not think is the case. After doing some research, I have come to realize we're surprisingly ill informed about the nature of STD's. We have really just taken to fear mongering as a place holder for a lack of real education about sexual health.

The statistics are 1 in 600 people living with HIV in the UK, fact. As a previous poster said though, not all HIV positive people will be fucking bareback, but some will be, plus those who don't know they are carrying the virus and are infectious whilst not on medication

While I agree russian roulette is a ridiculous comparison to make, saying "spreading hiv through vaginal sex is near impossible" is just not true either. Don't combat lack of sex education with lack of sex education. I would urge people to get the facts from a reputable source. Then make your own decision about your own body. And leave everyone else to make theirs

So if you are with someone in the very early stages of hiv and they just dont know they have it (as estimated is the case in 13% of hiv sufferers in the uk) chances are "considerably higher". No longer "pretty much impossible" as you stated. Yes other ways of catching it may be riskier. But stating there is no risk in vaginal sex is just irresponsible and untrue.

No.

Once again...this is NOT HOW STATISTICS WORK. The chances of you catching HIV are from those WITH the disease...an already low number as is. The number of heterosexual women in the UK with HIV is low...very low. You do know many health practitioners awareness of said stats mean they often times end up not actually bothering to perform certain tests on demographics whose representation among sufferers is negligible.

The risk of catching HIV through vaginal intercourse is negligible. 0.04-0.08% is the very concept of negligible. In any statistical analysis, such a low number would often end up relegated to the margin of error.

Blimy! I didn't realise 1 in 6 people had hiv!

Statistically speaking one out of the six people you sleep with COULD have HIV. So not the worst comparison

C

Let's get the statistics right here... in the UK 1 in 600 people are actually living with HIV"

Well they can't be "living" with HIV, if it causes instant death like a bullet to the brain from Russian roulette.

Scientifically and by statistics, there’s 0,001% that your straight lover is hiv pos and even if he/she were, the chance to get infected us from 0.04% for vaginal non period sex to 0.1% for anal.

It not nearly impossible to pass on HIV through vaginal sex, it carries less of a chance than unprotected anal sex, but is still very possible. Men that have unprotected vaginal sex with a HIV positive woman has more chance of contracting HIV than a woman having unprotected vaginal sex with an HIV positive man.

"What could possibly go wrong"

What could go wrong..that's obvious isn't it? If he's not wearing a condom he might spill over onto your nice clean duvet! (Seriously though...anyone that goes bareback in such circumstances is just plain daft, stupid in fact) Wrap up and stay safe!

Looking at the OP threads he's started, he obviously likes to ask questions and sit there with his trollies around his ankles knocking one out
